The only way I could visualise slab serifs with very high contrast was to flip the contrast backwards. Hairline serifs are not slabs.

Each of these Flying Pigeon bikes has enough pretty, but understated, lettering to catch the eye of a bike geek and everyday citizen. Here is one example.
Drawing this lettering, with the intention of creating a look like an old postern for my allegorical Between a Rock and a Hard Place cartoon/mural, was a fun exercise.
