Vinyl lettering can be placed on showroom windows in deep, bright tones to indicate a reduction sale or some other important information. Even the name of the business can consist of vinyl letters.
My destination is No. 51 Cranfield Road, but No. 45's lettering A.C. Beek Co. Ltd. catches my attention.
we visited one of the Pablo Neruda's houses. He did a nice wood lettering. When somebody calls me obsessive, they should visit Neruda's house and see his collections.
The pupils made a design using random overlapping letters. Adding shadow and colour in the background to create a third dimension.
Lettering on parts bins in the "Mule Barn"across the street from NA Graphics--original to the 1906 structure when the power company used this building as a stable and electrical parts warehouse--it has sat basically unused since 1938.

This HLS (“Helvetica-like substance”—D. Berlow) appears to be based on Folio – the smaller letters more directly than the large “Glaserei”.
I wonder what the ghost script behind this sign reads. It seems to end with “…iche”.
Used in early cartography. Tiny stylus traces a hollow letter form and transfers the motions (by way of hinges) to the mark-making device (usually a pen).
