Miss Ault was my "homeroom" teacher, but third grade was the first we moved around to other teachers for specific subjects. I think Mrs Sawyer was an English teacher. I do remember Miss Ault leading lessons in social studies (we learned how people in Ecuador and Alaska lived); while another teacher from Nova Scotia taught us math and cursive writing.

Attempt to draw the art area by setting up with a few well-placed lines. I kept getting too involved in the details. I couldn't find 3 different weights of pen to indicate distance, so I tried to put double strokes in the foreground and ended up making the foreground black. I thought it would be fun to use the water brush on the blue water soluble ink, and it was fun, but Im not sure it made the sketch more readable. Lamy pen, Micron pen, waterbrush.

Swimming
Kuya Dondon had a leisurely swim after taking swimming lessons minutes before. He enjoys swimming a lot and enjoys making friends in swimming class. He still has a long way to go and still many things to learn to be a good swimmer. He started learning to swim when he was 5 yrs old and took swimming lessons while we were still back home in the Philippines.
