We put The Boy in skating lessons this fall. He's been doing fairly well with the exception of one week where one of his parents decided to keep him up late the night before. That lesson, not so good. He is able to stay on his feet and walk forwards and backwards on his own. They make them start to hop and turn in circles too. The only task that he hasn't really mastered is getting up off the ice on his own. He's close but still needs a helping hand from dad.

Today we decided to wear our team colours to celebrate a win over the leafs and to send to Uncle Scott to kick him while he's down.

My dad is a fantastic pianist. My oldest started lessons with him a few weeks ago, and he seems to love it. I hope he keeps up with it.
This image is all craptastic cause the light was low and I tried to snap it quickly, but i love the moment. So sweet.

Anyway guys sorry i didnt upload anywith. The Art School started and i didnt know there will be so much work to do. Maybe in weekend i will find some free time to decaling.
This goes way back to the big 11-hour hike out to three waterfalls along Ruckel Creek with a few great photographers: Victor, Ara, Greg, and John. The best bushwhack I've been on yet. Great time.
It's funny, although we hadn't planned on it, John took a shot similar to mine.
Someone named Zach, who I've never met, went up here over winter and took a shot from this location as well. It's the second shot from the top of the page here. Thanks to Greg for providing me with that link.
This wooden guitar sign was nailed onto the tree in front of our parking spot at Howard's Place; Falmouth, Kentucky.
Lesson #4: Volumes First attempt with Inktense pencils. Should have used a graphite or oil-based black to avoid muddying the colours. The proportions and shapes are about right, though.
I think we over-filled our summer. My kids were out of sorts today, because there hasn't been a lot of time for just play. Or maybe just because it's been rainy outside.
On the other hand, each day when we get to the pool, they all pretty much grin for an hour straight. I'm glad we're doing swim lessons again this year.
They are practicing dancing aiming at the recital in May.

Snappy Smurfling: Apples!! Who cares about apples?
Brainy Smurf: This is what we are studying today, Snappy. I want you to notice our new vocabulary words for the day....stamen, stalk, core and pip. Bonus words are endocarp, mesocarp, and exocarp.
Slouchy Smurfling: Those words are too hard.
Snappy Smurfling: It isn't fair. You said next time I could do the computer!
Brainy Smurf: The words need to be learned before you can go play. Do you want to sit there all day?
Baby Smurf: NO!
Brainy Smurf: Good! ... Baby Smurf, I want you to draw an apple on your paper. I'm going to cut this apple into slices so we can all snack a little while we work.

A local surfing lesson group have their introductory lessons in the shallow water and small waves of the river. Participants walk out and hopefully surf back in!
