Okay, I pixelated this poor grand piano to death. But even so, it's gorgeous.
Check out those pins in the pin block. Those babies are about 2 inches long, and are really heavy. The reason I bring it up is because every time I see the the pin block of the piano, I think about the time that my dad was in charge of the men's dorm back in college. They had an old upright piano in the fourth story, and after years of relentless pounding from college boys, the piano was dead. They tried to remove it, but in the years since it had been taken up to the fourth story, the stairwells had been narrowed and they couldn't get the piano down.
My dad always had a flair for the dramatic (he was a fantastic preacher) and he decided to make a college event out of removing that poor dead piano.
On the following Saturday, all the students gathered beneath the men's dorm, four stories below on the ground. The door at the end of the hallway of the fourth floor was opened up. Down the hall came four strapping college boys, rolling that baby towards oblivion. When they stopped on the edge of the fire escape, the piano made its maiden voyage out into the wild blue yonder.
My dad said that when the piano hit the concrete, the sound was unlike anything he'd ever heard. I'm sure.
What he didn't know was that each one of the strings had approximately 120 pounds of tension on them. At the end of each one of those strings was a 2" turning pin, almost as heavy as a 50 caliber World War II bullet. Dad said that they found very few of those tuning pins. Nobody died, at least that we know of...

Surely not!? Dance lessons are being given to stallions during their off season to keep them from Grass Potato Syndrome (GPS). Stallionhandlers will be asked to gently introduce thier partners to the Cha Cha Cha , their response is likely to be Ha ha ha . We look forward to Tango lessons in late October, when the Stallionmen Union response is likely to be a 100% fruitier and significantly fizzier!

Smirking even as she knows she is in big trouble either way as she will more then likely get an beating later too by Ston. Just tosses hair back away from face before pealing off clothing what does it matter to her is she is naked, as she more then likely is most of the time anyways.
[11:34] Bane Lykin: "I'm doubting you're sorry for your attempt to steal from me... So I think you're going to have to be taught the lesson your boss very gallantly failed to save you from..." he smirks, his body rippling with restrained power as his eyes fun over the small redhead and her impressive rack, his gaze taking in her curves with a slow, gloating smile
[11:37] Sable Levee just rolls her hips well watching the man as yep she is not sorry as damnit wanted that phone, spoiled look of an child for an fleeting moment to face before it disaprears. Just standing there seeing what the man will do.
[11:39] Bane Lykin: "Yah wanna make up for it with y'pussy?" he demands, his eyes slithering down to the little slit she so easily revealed, his muscular frame immobile as his harsh voice reverberated about the grotty cell, his movements seeming larger as his huge shadow flickers behind him in the stark light of the bare bulb
[11:42] Sable Levee just looks at the man thinking that if he wanted he pussy he would just take it, no he most have something else in mind then just fucking her. Body tense as she really does need an shoot. Shifting body as eyes never once leave the man," so what ya want?"
[11:46] Bane Lykin: "A settlement girl I want you to make up for your crime and learn the lesson, never to covet my stuff again.." he answeres plainly, stepping forward toward her, his face cast into sharp relief by the light as he reaches in to his pocket, drawing out the black metal of the phone, the expensive machined piece of equipment gleaming dully in the erratic white light
[11:49] Sable Levee stands her ground as the big man comes closer as figuring she is gonna be hurt either way so why try to hide from him. Standing as tall as she short frame will allow as eyes flicker to the phone still wanting to play with the shinny tool. " liked your phone is all.." maybe if he would have let her hold it in the first place she might not have tried to steal
[11:52] Bane Lykin shrugs, tossing the little box to her feet, letting it skitter over the concrete and grime to lay undamaged by her, the tough phone immobile as it glints softly in the corner, the mans voice icy and demanding as he questions "That task I gave you....?"
[11:55] Sable Levee eyes flicker watching as the phone is tossed down to the dirt of the floor almost moving to pick it up but doesn't. Thinking it to be some sort of test just lifts gaze to the man once more," ya what about it?" fine tremor to frame shown if looked closely toward her as the need for her fix shows
Grandma Faye and Grandma Janet came to Flora's last swimming lesson. I kept trying to guide us towards them so they could take pictures. A lot of cropping was required, which explains the fuzziness on some of these.
Eight months, three weeks and two days old.
Roof shape with paint and drawn with lines. I like my pencil and ink drawing the best. Roof was just hard enough to be a good challenge.

Final homework for the watercolor pencil workshop. Mixed media - watercolor, colored pencil & watercolor pencil. I didn't quite get the background finished. I think the bird is pretty much done except for some shading under the wing. Open for suggestions... I figured I better post it since the class ends tomorrow...
I decided to do a layout about the mistakes I made in my first marriage and how much happier my second marriage is now. In the process I made a mistake on the layout that I had to fix too. I cut the light blue floral patterned paper way too small and then had to figure out how to use it since I didn't have another piece. I actually love the result even more than the original layout that I had planned.
Journaling: "Divorce is not something that I would wish on anybody, but I wouldnn't be the person I am today without it. Lots of classes, counseling and groups to help me figure out my issues & what I needed to do to heal them, to finally grow up. I don't look at conflict or communication the same way I used to (thank goodness). Honestly, revealing my real self, standing up for what I want & believe. It's so revealing to be known especially by the person you are married to. These are the important lessons that i learned because of a divorce. And now I am so very blessed to have found a person who's done the hard, healing work too. Dave and I don't always agree, but we're two different people and that 's okay. I've learned that we're we're okay & I'm so glad that he's my partner now".

I'm sitting quiet and alone and watch this kid quickly approaching me on his bike .... I think too much ... and I lived in NYC too long and walked too many hard streets over those years ... I just started assuming the worst ... that I was about to lose my camera .... well ... Kevin just needed to borrow my phone .... and after that ... I just needed to borrow his face ..... It was a good lesson in how Christmas is about giving to show people we
care, and not about what we want for ourselves! I think she understood it
and I think Santa was so impressed with her that he has reserved a similar
one for her stocking
We call Miss A Buglet or Looliebug because as a baby she used to chatter to the ladybugs in her nursery ~ because of that people often buy her ladybug related toys!

The challenge of this Reading Lesson (Part 1of 18 lessons) was probably more difficult for the writer, than the children who had to read it. The writer had to tell a story using words of only 1 syllable - just think of sustaining something worse than the most fiendishly difficult Haiku over 18 sheets. Overall, a success, with the minor quibble that "tea-pot" is a bit of a cheat.
Others of these educational series were penned by John Synge (grandfather of the dramatist J.M. Synge) at his Glanmore Estate in Co. Wicklow in the 1830s, although whether Synge was the author of Reading Lessons of One Syllable is not certain.

This is the first summer that all 3 kids have had a chance to take swimming lessons. Last year we missed it all together and the year before (when the twins were 2) we could only take them one at a time since someone had to stay with the 3rd kiddo. Claire missed out on lessons that year as July was unseasonably cold. This year they are doing pretty well. Claire is still afraid at moments (only 3 lessons under our belt so far). But she is excited and happy to go each night.

I'm in way over my head, but it feels right. I dont know a damn thing about cameras, esp one of this caliber. At a truckstop after work tonight I was beyond frustrated on finding a shot, as i walked thru the parking lot a young boy waiting in parents car said he wanted to take my picture (he had tablet camera). A child was my teacher today, and I was humbled from his wisdom...
