These guys are easy to hear as they deliver their two-note call in a subdued tone from the tops of tree canopies. They seem to fly about languidly, but they can be hard to lay eyes on because of dense foliage.
I was able to photograph this bird three separate times, but all shots had limited light. In another, the bird was perched a bit too high.
I wish this shot were brighter, but it does show a sense of the dense tropical forest.

First about the watch:
This is a vintage (mid 1970ties) Chinese wrist watch Seagull (海鸥) ST5-D (29J automatic movement). It came with original manual and original bracelet, but shown here on a steel mesh bracelet.
Nice silver pie pan dial.
The ST5-D was the first indigenous Chinese automatic movement, made by the Tianjin Watch Factory (天津手表厂).
That pocket dictionary used as a prop is not too good, but it has the character 表 at the right place for the photo.
Now for your Chinese lesson:
The character 表 biǎo has many meanings, more than given in that dictionary, most usage in a technical context is for anything with a dial. Depending what other characters it is combined with one gets the actual meaning.
Examples:
表带 biǎo dài watchband
手表 shǒubiǎo wristwatch
钟表 zhōngbiǎo clock
压力表 yālì biǎo pressure gauge
高度表 gāodù biǎo altimeter

Another highlight at the first morning in Jan's garden was this Motmot. It was before sunrise and the ISO was a bit high 😉

This Lesson’s Motmot was hanging out at the edge of a trail while walking around in the Monteverde area of Costa Rica. To our delight it showed absolutely no fear of us and allowed us to get some nice close-ups. He was still happily sitting in his tree when we departed.

The photograph being looked at here is actually very important. Unfortunately the name of the photographer is unknown. It was taken in 1912 and shows a women's life drawing class at the Launceston Technical College where Lucien Dechaineux (1869-1957) had been in charge of the art department. Dechaineux taught composition classes to the Tasmanian photographer Jack Cato. Have a look at this brilliant Cato portrait: searchthecollection.nga.gov.au/object/155474
But we know Cato didn't take this photograph because he was already working in London at the time.
eprints.utas.edu.au/18371/1/Lucien_Dechaineux_1869-1957_F...
However, the real significance of this photo is, (1) that the artists' model here is actually Lucien Dechaineux, and (2) that it shows Hope Evershed, the first female art teacher at the Launceston Technical College, guiding a group of female students in a lesson.
Information about the Launceston Art Society:
These young adult bears had found a porcupine and the one on the right payed the price. Sometimes life's lessons are learned the hard way. On a positive note I have some face shots of the one on the right and it's eyes were unharmed.
