Some nice gentle snow fall today in my home town. Wasn't mainly focused on anything to try get a nice effect and possible in focus flakes of snow. I also forgot to stick a lens cap on and didn't notice any flaring until editing but quite like how it looks.

Sand sculptures made by the winds in Corralejo Natural Park.

Playing with the Funleader 18mm f/8 Cap Lens. It looks rather comical on a Z 9 (picture here: flic.kr/p/2oWy6PE).

But not any flimsy plastic cheap style cap, red velvet and metal. They don´t make them like this anymore. Not sure if that is sad or a good thing, especially when I think of all the misplaced 52mm Nikon caps for the last 20 years :)

Wonder if the one lost in 92 still travels the night-train Oslo-Trondheim?

First upload from my nikkor 28mm f2 AIS. Quite a glass it is!

**taking selfie with an all manual glass is not that much tough as I thought

This is a 20 minute exposure of my lens cap ;)

This is taken with my Nikon D70 with the "Long Exposure Noise Reduction" turned off.

With Long Exposure NR turned on it's pitch black.

I wonder what the purple haze is?

My guess is heat from some internal electronic part???

checking through the monster truck manual.... I think this is the first toy I have RTFM'd in a long time... (and all of this is in english!)

This is a Canon EOS 35mm FILM camera (NOT digital). The lens is a 55mm Quantaray CN AF (missing lenscap). Comes with a nice Targus case. Asking $75 for the whole package but feel free to make an offer.

I've misplaced my Canon lenscap… This one fits perfect, but feels like a sin against my 85L.

A LensCap Rally at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria. The LensCap Rally is a day out with a Professional Photographer. There are set tasks and afterwards you can upload your photos to the site and have everyone comment on them. Its a great way to get out for the day, shoot loads of pics at interesting locations and meet other photo-mad people.

Marcus likes to think that my Nikon comes before him. He thinks this is the proof.

But he doesn't know that really....they're tied at Number 1.

made in Britain by GEC circa 1980s (could be older). I find old vinyl records and vintage equipment for a recycled, renewable wheelbarrow disco down in Dorset, UK! I love posting interesting audio and decor on flickr.com to see what sort of response the items receive. You can follow highlights of the 'finds' on my twitter just follow 'joimson'

The title is a little misleading. I actually staged this one. The dog is Bucky, a Lab puppy (he's only one year old) that my wife and I took care of for the weekend. I offered him the cap and he gladly took it in his mouth. Amazingly, he didn't chomp it before I could snap the photo and take it back out!

fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89glise_Saint-Christophe_de_Cr%...

On a side note:

Today was a good day. My buddy Robert came over and we sat around and watched hockey. I'm happy to say that today, the Minnesota Wild clinched a playoff spot in the NHL playoffs! 2 more regular season games for them, then it's playoff time baby!!!!!

GO WILD!!!

Oh yea, baseball season starts today. The Twins play their first game tomorrow.

sigh.

I promise this isn't Copenhagen in my back pocket! It's actually my lens cap! We were transferring our Longhorns from one pasture to the other and I had fun documenting the process with my camera. I went over to try to bribe the girls with breeder's cubes. Wouldn't you know Ryan caught a shot of me from behind...
