Everyone has sat through a less-than-engaging presentation by someone in their company. All too often it consists of a PowerPoint presentation packed with way too much information and delivered without enthusiasm. The first-ever Learning Together Education Conference focuses on bringing resources, information and networking opportunities for parents and families to address some key issues surrounding the educational experiences of their children.

There are three distinct tracks for the Education Conference:

Parent Leader Track: This track addresses factors that impact families at home, like math and literacy interventions, planning for college and career, and building strong, healthy families.

Emerging Leaders Track: This track provides resources, information and networking opportunities to empower local Middle and High School students to find their voices and learn to address factors that impact their academic achievement, college readiness and career advancement. Participants will also be invited to think about how art has an important role in creating safe spaces to promote healthy community dialogue and development.

Young Leaders Track: For elementary-age students (5-12), this track focuses on raising cultural awareness and academic achievement through health-based and literacy-focused fun and educational programming. NLP Accelerated learning is about having the right motivation, the right state and beliefs and the correct tools to learn things really quickly and easily.

When you add your own personal learning style and a few NLP techniques then learning stuff really does get easy. It really is all about learning excellence.

Here’s why I believe that learning how to learn is even more important now than ever.

There is no such thing as a job for life anymore. It is thought that the average school leaver will have between 3 and 5 careers over the course of their working life. It makes sense to be able to retrain as quickly and as easily as possible.

There will be jobs & businesses in the future, that do not currently exist. Those who adapt quickest will be the winners.

If we are now in the Information age that suggests having a lot of new data to keep up with. The ‘innovation curve is about to go vertical.

If you were to create a graph of all the information that has ever existed and started the graph at the year

1 AD it would take until 1500 for the amount of knowledge available to double. It doubled again by 1750 and then 1900. The next doubling of knowledge took a mere 50 years then 10 years and 7 years and finally six years.

This was up until 1973 when there was 128 times more knowledge than in 1 AD according to George Anderia who measured this growth.

I found a school notebook from when I started to learn English. I guess it was good to live without giving a shit about spelling mistakes.

February 9, 2014, I'm learning entrelac crochet. Because working from the pattern was monotonous, I'm experimenting with doubling the size of the squares (actually they are 4x larger). I alternate between the two. Our Daily Challenge: SOMETHING ABOUT YOU is the challenge for Tuesday 04 February. ~ I can't work on only one thing at a time.
