Much younger, much thinner. I got my pilot's license at Wilgrove Air Park in 1997. I am posing in front of one of the Piper Cherokee 140 trainers. This is a scanned 35mm photo touched up in Aperture.

It stinks when things don't come out right. For example, I took all these pictures of a conference today only to find out later that they were out of focus. I thought I was doing it right, but obviously it was all wrong. I hate it when that happens. But that's okay, it teaches me to check myself. This won't happen again for sure. Have you done things that you thought were okay, but they were not? (by the way, this conference is awesome) #wrong #mistakes #learning #failure #imporving #potential #better #preparation #success #attitude #photography #365photochallenge #365project #project365 #365_today

This has to be one of my favourite shots taken to date. A young Bouquetin (also known as an Alpine Ibex) looks on after its mother whilst crossing the rocky landscape below the Saas Grund glacier (background) in the Swiss Alps. 'Learning from Mum' seemed an appropriate title for this photo as the young Bouquetin kept stopping and then chasing after its mother, trying to work out where to go. A pretty special moment to capture.

Learning HDR, still lots and lots to learn. I attempted to catch the sun on this one, unable to keep the composition though (La cathédrale Sts-Pierre is a massive building). Two shots merged to this one. And yes, it helps to get a proper stative before attempting to create multiple shots for HDR processing. ;) Photographed in Malmedy, Belgium

Founder of Creative Living Services, Michael wears many hats — percussionist, public speaker, group facilitator, educator, author, songsmith, bard, and mentor. His 25 years of experience in “metaphoric learning” — using simulations, games, and activities to create fun, high impact situations in which people discover their own skills and inspiration as learners — led him to co-found Fire Tribe Hawai‘i Gatherings, a quarterly festival dedicated to collaborative creativity. His new solo live-looping show, Rhythms of Change, will debut at Honolulu’s Fringe Festival. Michael also offers Playful Percussion team-building workshops.

This takes a shot at the standard of honing. Customary practice sets are constrained in reading material, thus emerges the requirement for additional #learning material, and #AGXL comes into the photo.

View On Black

Been a while since I hit the streets with my camera so I thought my not do it Monday morning. Only problem, at 7am the sun was low, the sky was super bright and cloudless leaving me without the style I wanted but with some combining and tweeking effects I love how these turned out!
