"Moody Rural Winter Scene - Two Trees Texture" by Patti Deters. A foggy and dreary landscape with two leafless winter trees is brightened a bit by the sun trying to shine through the heavy mist in the sky. This rural scene was photographed in northern Minnesota and shows the desolate beauty of the season. Several textures and overlays have been applied for artistic effect and to convey the ethereal sense of the moody atmospheric weather. This is actually a daytime photo but, with the fog, the wind was blowing the snow so much it darkened the sun. along the waterfront promenade of palma de mallorca, the silhouette of a passerby is etched against the open sky. beside them, a leafless tree stands in quiet companionship, together creating a minimalist dance of forms and lines in the soft light. it's a moment where human and nature, movement and stillness, are captured in stark, poetic contrast.

The sky was so blue and the later stages of leaf colors looked good in the sun. I got a couple of photos in even though I didn't have much time.

This barn is in Lansing, NY, which is just outside of Ithaca. I used an old film camera that isn't in the best of shape. The scanned file was edited in Photoshop.

This is a bit dreary considering what day it is. I liked the atmosphere of it. Its what I had to work with when I was out the other day.
I've had Idina Menzel stuck in my head for the past 48 hours. Go figure. :P I guess this photo's appropriate for my mood then. :D
No one takes Christmas as seriously as Icelanders do. One of the best vacations ever.

I don't recall ever seeing a sunset like this before. It was on Christmas Eve, 2019. There appeared to be more of a rainbow effect in the clouds.

I love looking up into the trees and listening to them as they sway back and forth. It's as if they are dancing to the sweet sounds of mother nature. Soaring high into the sky, branching out every which way in a choreographed display.
