I needed a walk before a strong storm set in. I liked the reflections on the pool cover so I took a photo through the chain link fence. I was reminded that spring and summer are rapidly approaching.

I took some country roads I've never taken before. This spot had more colors than anywhere else I saw. There are even other views I should go back for once peak foliage conditions arrive.

The stone base is all that remains of the Shenandoah Pulp Mill. It went out of business in 1935. The majority of the building was swept away in the flood of 1936. The ruins serve as a reminder, the hydraulic technology was real progress at the time.
