The same oak trees in the February snows.

 

Denuded of leaves, the skeletons of the trees look beautiful in winter anyway, but especially with a frosting of white picking out the structure.

63/365 Are we the only place in t he UK without snow?

 

You can just see snow on the distant mountain, but we only had a sprinkling down in the town and that soon melted.

Later in the season we seem to be making up for a lack of snowfall. The absence of snow has made me appreciate the sight of it more.

A leaf-strewn path winds through a bare forest in the Saarburg-Kell municipality.

Lake effect snow from Ontario lightly came down all day. It added to the totals on the ground but tamely. This squall made for poor visibility and I took the shot for a challenge. I think it captured the conditions well.
