Sunset in the winter ove r the national park Drents-Friese Wold near Appelscha.

Street, Trees, Cars in a parking outside the Maybury Gala Club in Edinburgh, a famous casino with a floor area of 9,000 square feet and a large number of gaming machines.

After a couple dark, stormy days the scenery finally improved. Wet snow made the area look magical. I visited a local nature preserve and got this photo.

Sunsets are occurring earlier, making it easier for me to time. I didn't wait around for the perfect timing, I liked how the sky looked at the time. I will look for more sunsets to photograph in the upcoming weeks.

The sunrise was nice but it worked out better to get a sunset photo today. Strong, cold wind kept me from staying out very long. I appreciates other great views from the warm car.

This was done by whacking up the intensity. Although that was just the start of the changes made.

There were too many days with no snow on the ground. When snow finally returned it was far below freezing too. Despite the biting wind chill, I ventured to the falls for some photos.

Lower Taughannock Falls are just upstream of where the creek empties into Cayuga Lake. I like to view them from the road at times I drive by too. Seeing the falls so frozen over like this made me take a longer look. Our whole state has been in a deep freeze for a long time.

I'm proud that I actually managed to capture the movement of the windmill against the leafless March trees.

I was starting out for the day and of course had to get a photo. Years ago I would have missed so many of these. Nowadays we might as well take advantage of having the great camera systems in our phones. We always have them with us, after all.

A secret valley in Somerset, England with trees, some bursting into leaf, and primroses, photographed on a bright Spring day.

I'm captivated by this wetland area. I don't know if there are other access points that aren't restricted. Out of view here but there is a huge beaver dam I'd like to get a better look at.

The path at Ithaca Falls Natural Area was flooded out, as you can see. This was about as close as I could get to the falls safely.

I was walking to Central Station in Sydney after having lunch with a good friend and saw this tree. I took a photo and using the native editing program on my phone, turned the photo to black and white.

I took this winter photograph of a leafless tree against this lovely blue sky and white clouds at Zuanich Park in Bellingham, Washington.

More storm systems keep the skies active. There had been frequent lake effect snow bands from Ontario. The morning commute was rough, the evening drive was nice.
