7 LAYER SALAD
1 diced cucumber
1 head lettuce, broken in pieces
1 white or yellow or I like to use a bunch green onions, diced
1 diced green bell pepper
1 diced colored pepper of your choice
1 cup Celery, sliced (cover layers)
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green garden peas, uncooked
1 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise, ½ c. sugar put on the top of the mayo more if you want sweeter
Enough mayonnaise to cover top (1 quart or 32 oz on bigger salad bowls)
Spread four cheese Mexican cheese or cheddar on top
Fried bacon or bacon, sprinkled on top about 2 lbs. crumbled
In bowl or large cake pan, layer lettuce, celery, green pepper, onion, cucumber, and peas on top of each other. Add Hellmann's mayonnaise over ingredients to seal adding sugar next. Spread four cheese Mexican cheese or cheddar on top and Fried crumbled bacon on very top. Do not toss. Cover and chill up to 24 hours.
Although this is one of the earlier photos that I have taken, but it still remains as my favourite landscape photo.
I just love to see the layers over and over again.

My first attemp to try out Shari's technique on layered stamped background (actually this is my 2nd trial). But I"m so happy! I was never able to create background or use collage image. Now I'm able to do it. Thank you HA for the inspiration! Blogged here.

I have never done applique so I left out the middle circle. I also like being able to see the owls, so I think it worked out ok.

Quickly noticed that the foamboard was translucent to sunlight, so added a sheet of tinfoil in between the two foamboard layers to ensure light was completely blocked (except for the desired opening).

Original caption: This composite image looking toward the higher regions of Mount Sharp was taken on September 9, 2015, by NASA's Curiosity rover. In the foreground -- about 2 miles (3 kilometers) from the rover -- is a long ridge teeming with hematite, an iron oxide. Just beyond is an undulating plain rich in clay minerals. And just beyond that are a multitude of rounded buttes, all high in sulfate minerals. The changing mineralogy in these layers of Mount Sharp suggests a changing environment in early Mars, though all involve exposure to water billions of years ago. The Curiosity team hopes to be able to explore these diverse areas in the months and years ahead. Further back in the image are striking, light-toned cliffs in rock that may have formed in drier times and now is heavily eroded by winds.
The colors are adjusted so that rocks look approximately as they would if they were on Earth, to help geologists interpret the rocks. This "white balancing" to adjust for the lighting on Mars overly compensates for the absence of blue on Mars, making the sky appear light blue and sometimes giving dark, black rocks a blue cast.
Malin Space Science Systems, San Diego, built and operates Curiosity's Mastcam. NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, built the rover and manages the project for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington.
