Suzi, Please critique. Here's my first attempt at the background layer. I stopped to let it dry overnight. I was afraid I was going to turn it into mud. This is for my bride and groom dollies.
Another layering of beach boulders with washing waves which with a long exposure gives the feeling of mist.
Fast forward about 10 hours. This was taken at about 530 in the morning, before sunrise over the Atlantic ocean.
Much to my chagrin, I learned the night before that sunrise was at 5:46 in the morning... Yuck. It was definitely worth it though as it was my first sunrise over the ocean.
I'm pretty happy with the mood and colors of this image, as well as the water movement over the rock. I think my favorite part of the shot is the bright rocks in the bottom right.

ZEN MAGNETS - Neodymium Magnetic Balls (@432) - 2R-Hex Architecture Design - (Detail: middle large 3D triangle mount)
Spread out the tips of the middle large 3D triangle mount.
This was created for the Zen Magnets 2R-Hex Architecture contest ... zenmagnets.com/blog/?p=236
The end result is a very portable Zen Corporate Headquarters Building design doubling as a trans-warp universe hopper spaceship ... making it possible for Zen Magnets to be anywhere in the galaxy and beyond.
The challenge on this design was two-fold: limiting subunit designs to 2L-Hex sheet variations and getting something balanced and architecturally stable enough to stand up on its own without the use of a metal sheet.
This was constructed entirely of 2-R-Hex (2-layer Hexagon sheets) folded and combined in various ways.

The combined 4 sheet 2-R-Hex (1 + 3) starts the component build details (Starting from the base section to the top).

the process of layering pait has created texture in the wall that has been lit softly by the filtered light of the sun on an overcast day.

There was an abbey in the valley below the Rock of Cashel that was just in the middle of what now is a cow pasture. Doug was no happy being in such proximity to the cows.

from 2005 26"x19" (about an inch around the piece is cut off by the cropping of the photo including the hand torn edges) This is printed on a full sheet of Rives lightweight paper. It is one of a kind and is the largest piece I have ever made, almost using my press to its maximum size (22"x36")
I love this piece but I could never get a good scan or photo of it due to its size, but today I managed to. But it still looks twice as good in person where you can see all the subtle details in the piece. This is one of the first pieces I did using the printing press that I got in November 2005. I was still getting used to using the printing press and getting consistent ink coverage, as a result this piece has some interesting effects that would be hard for me to duplicate. It is one of the few remaining pieces from the series, and the only one this size.

The technique is an adaptation of a rosemaryknits technique. I used wisps of dyed wool top arranged in layers and formed them into rolags.

Although this is one of the earlier photos that I have taken, but it still remains as my favourite landscape photo.
I just love to see the layers over and over again.

7 LAYER SALAD
1 diced cucumber
1 head lettuce, broken in pieces
1 white or yellow or I like to use a bunch green onions, diced
1 diced green bell pepper
1 diced colored pepper of your choice
1 cup Celery, sliced (cover layers)
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green garden peas, uncooked
1 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise, ½ c. sugar put on the top of the mayo more if you want sweeter
Enough mayonnaise to cover top (1 quart or 32 oz on bigger salad bowls)
Spread four cheese Mexican cheese or cheddar on top
Fried bacon or bacon, sprinkled on top about 2 lbs. crumbled
In bowl or large cake pan, layer lettuce, celery, green pepper, onion, cucumber, and peas on top of each other. Add Hellmann's mayonnaise over ingredients to seal adding sugar next. Spread four cheese Mexican cheese or cheddar on top and Fried crumbled bacon on very top. Do not toss. Cover and chill up to 24 hours.
