On our excursion to Montana De Oro last month, we ran into a wide range of sky conditions -- everything from completely overcast to 90% clear.
This was THE perfect sky with the cloud layers doing their best to mimic the layers of the rocks jutting from the beach into the ocean. Of course, it didn't last until sunset, so I tried the next best thing -- a black and white conversion.
I experimented with this one a lot in pp -- using both NX and SEP, but I wasn't quite happy with either one on their own. This one is a Frankenblend of both programs.
I'd love to hear your feedback.
Photograam layering i created at the begining of my Photography As course using different and the same Photograms to create new ones using inverted photograms to layer to create the effect.

Fog starts to build in the valleys of the Mt. Hood Wilderness in the early evening hours. The forested ridges stand out against the fog creating layers and add depth to the photograph. I also like the clouds which seem to glow from the low angle of the sun.
The map shows exactly where this is.
This VIS image shows part of the south polar cap. The cap is comprised of layers of ice and dust deposited over millions of years. The bottom half of the image is part of a polar chasma, revealing the surface beneath the ice cap. This image was collected near the end of summer.

EXPO Shanghai, October 2010
The Ninbo Tengtou Pavilion is the only village pavilion at the EXPO exhibition.
It is designed by Wang Shu and Lu Wenvy (Amateur Architecture Studio) and is one of the most poetic experience I had at the exhibition and it gave me a lot of hope for chinese architecture in the future.
They were representing China at Venice Biennale this year 2010 with "Decay of a Dome"
Wang Shu is Professor and Head of the Architecture department at China Academy of Art, Hangzhou.

Ron's Huntsman Di2 was stolen a few weeks back in San Fran. I helped recover it and we're super stoked it's still in one piece. It's a hot mess though... Needs to be stripped, a bit of repair work done and a few updates before heading to Hot Tubes for some paint.
My first attempt at textures, layers and whatnots. I need to work much harder on that one. And I will. :)
This the first layer of mud with the lath placed on top of it. I spent too much time trying to make this pretty. Since another layer goes right on top it is better to spent the time there.
Robin and I went up to the Catskills a few weekends ago for the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival, and also to hike.
The hike was wonderful (even Robin thought so), especially at the end. We came to a cliff overlooking a narrow valley (or "clove") and more mountains.
Alison Kay LK57 whitefish trawler - passing Whalsay headed towards Lerwick to discharge fish at the market. Layered effect in the background with the hills of nesting showing up in the sun with a rain shower passing by. Weather conditions in the photos were blashy westerly winds but in sheltered waters.
As the light began to fade following sunset, on November 10, 2012, I took this photo of a row of wonderful trees in Hilly Fields, the hill-top park in Brockley, in south east London, near where I live.

This is the first time I seen a single layer peony. It was in a friend's garden earlier this summer. I am use to the peony with the large cluster of petals, I thought they were quite beautiful and unusual.

My experiment in RANGE FINDER. Shot with YASHICA ELECTRO 35 GS with yashikor aux wide angle 1:4. Got it at the swapmeet for 50$. Took some research to find a battery. I like the result dont think it's much of a difference to go range finder but i had to see for myself. Nice addition to my collection tho.
