I met Janie Layers in Jerome, Arizona. She moved from near Seattle after so much rain became too much rain. She graduated in fine arts from the Evergreen State College. Janie came to Jerome in 1998 opened a "fresh visual horizon" that pushed her to capture images in clay.
She creates her beautiful work in The Old Jerome High School.

I smeared a little liquid sculpey on a piece of rolled out clay to get it to adhere to the foil ball.
The River Hull tidal barrier framing the new(isn) Premier Inn. It was the layered textures in the foreground mud that caught my eye here.
Not only can you tinker with light in an over bright image, but also the color if you want with a couple of Adjustment Layers and a Color Balance Adjustment in Photoshop. The tutorial is here : photoshopper27.blogspot.com/2011/09/focus-with-color-bala...

Layered fretwork to make up the scene and a digital clock (the camera flash is lighting up all the segments at once). My wife wanted a digital clock so that she could see the time in the dark.
So this is the first layer in our newest Gocco print for the BHF group awards. We are too excited about the print and the fun process to keep them a secret ;] That means you better go out there with your camera and earn one!!

Will did the illustration and it looks great.
This worked with many different layers and a different blending mode on each. Almost looks like an old homestead in the west. Location Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy the vintage feeling.
This was an experiment. I can't decide if I love or hate this photo. Clearly it has built-in exposure issues that would challenge even a full featured camera. It may have been just a tad too much for the humble Hawkeye.
Layer Road - The former home of Colchester United F.C. Home of the U's from 1937 until 2008.
The final game at Layer Road was against Stoke City on the 26th April 2008. The U's lost 1-0 but it was a fantastic day.
Incidently the last time Colchester United ever won at Layer Road was on Saturday 5th April against local rivals Ipswich Town. Scott Vernon gaining legendary status by netting both goals in a 2-0 win.
