Eddie Lyons (November 25, 1886 – August 30, 1926) was an American film actor, director, writer, and producer of the silent era, born in Beardstown, Illinois. He appeared in 388, directed 153, wrote for 93, and produced 40 films between 1911 and 1926. Debuting in minor parts at Biograph in 1911, Lyons moved in 1912 to IMP (Independent Motion Pictures of America), where he immediately got leads or major supporting parts in dramas and comedies, e.g. with Margarita Fischer. End of 1912 he shifted to Nestor Film. Just like his future film partner Lee Moran, Lyons had been trained in vaudeville, hence their long-lasting partnership in acting together (from late 1912) at Nestor, and from 1916 also in directing and writing at Nestor (distributed by Universal) and from 1918 at Universal, making hundreds of short comedies. The chums were immensely popular with American audiences. With Horace Davey, Lyons had already started directing in 1915, first with Lizzie's Dizzy Career (Davey/ Lyons, 1915), before sharing directing with Moran.
In 1915 Lyons was one of the co-founders of the Motion Picture Directors Association. In 1917, Lyons married actress Virginia Kirtley, who acted in many of his films from 1917. After his split with Moran in 1920/1921, Lyons continued with his own film company, Eddie Lyons Comedies (1921-1924). After that, Lyons' career slowed down and he had only a few minor parts in features in 1925-1926. In 1926 Eddie Lyons suddenly died of appendicitis in Pasadena, California.

It is just after 1 p.m. in Plainfield, IL, and this morning's heavy frost has still not melted away. From what I read in today's forecast discussion, I believe the severe frost is the result of a dense freezing fog that came through in the morning hours. These Photo's are from my Peace Corps experience in Luapula Province, Zambia.
After the First World War Lord Howard of Glossop gave the land to be made into a public park, as a lasting memorial to the men of Glossopdale who died in the many theatres of war during that conflict. This included his son, Lieutenant The Honourable Philip Granville James Fitzalan Howard of the 1st Battalion of the Welsh Guards, who died of wounds in 1918.
The road, which extended from Market Street, was named after Lord Howard's son and was laid in to join Princess Street at St Mary's Road. Paths which followed some of the old allotment paths were improved and paths and flowerbeds lined the road. Seats were placed at vantage points to give views across the valley to Mouselow and down to Dinting and Mottram. After 1935 Alderman Farnsworth's wife gave the town a number of rustic shelters, to be placed set back from the footpaths, along the south side of the road. These were demolished in the 1960's.

I just started wearing makeup again at age 52. I follow instructions about the order of things (moisturizer, primer, foundation, etc.) but my makeup still looks really noticeable. When I put foundation on my nose, it shows all the pores and just seems like it never blends in. Same with the highlighter. PLEASE HELP!

Thank you for your question. I don't think there's enough information out there regarding makeup for women over 50 and it's one of the things I'm motivated to change. Makeup is for everyone, as I always say!
Okay, I’m going to do my best to troubleshoot your issues. There’s a lot to unpack here and when I answer questions, I like to answer them as thoroughly as possible. As you can understand, without visuals and knowing more about you personally, it’s hard.
What it is:

What it does:

How to use:

antarvedi is the place where the mighty godavari meets the ocean, and its a rare but beautiful sight to watch, although from a distance. So one can only make out the the contrasting colours of the waters and confluence of waves coming from perpendicular directions.

This was shot with the Sigma DP1 at ISO400. There was a heavy canopy of leaves so it was quite dim except for a few beams of sunshine here and there.
If you look at the full size, you will see some nice grain from the fact this was ISO400 but other than that, it's a pretty crisp image. Also, there was no noise reduction applied.

"In 2016 I received information from NSHSS regarding the AFS-USA program. My son Stephen then a sophomore in high school and I at first thought it would be an excellent opportunity for him to go abroad with the program but after some discussion, we agreed instead to become a host family. This was one of the most rewarding decisions we could have made. In August of 2016 our 1st student arrived. He was around the same age as my son, and although a little shy at first it wasn't long before he settled in as a member of our immediate, extended family and circle of friends as well as creating friends of his own both in the neighborhood and at school. I witnessed first-hand the growth in both boys as they went from being shy acquaintances to becoming fast and lifelong friends. To this day a holiday does not go by without me getting greetings from my son Bautista. Stephen and he are in ongoing communication via social media and firmly support each other as their young lives continue to unfurl. Last year, when my older son graduated from college, Bautista made the trip to Miami to be present at the graduation and to cheer him on. The experience with Bautista was so positive that we decided to host for a 2nd time the following year when we gained a daughter from Switzerland who also has become a lasting member of our family. In 2017 AFS asked me to share my experience in a blog which I was very happy to do to encourage other would be host families.
My one regret is that none of them got the opportunity to go to Orlando while they were with us. Getting this opportunity to reunite with either one of them would put an awesome stamp on what has already been a most amazing experience.
