Shot with a 50x50cm large format camera with 750mm f9 Carl Zeiss Jena Apo Tessar onto ilford paper as a negative, then digitized by a Nikon d750.

Took this in one of the stone hallways in Princeton U. Love the architecture there - beautiful campus.
It was a cloudy day so there was this beautiful diffused light casting soft shadows on the stone. I knew there would be this great tonality from such gradual shifts in light intensity. I metered for the shadow on the floor placing it on zone IV.

This is an unconventional portrait but I really like it. I have a thing for symmetry with a little bit of dissonance tossed in.
