Work from the 'Language of the Future' project I did back in Uni. For my project I looked at three types of communication - between people (ie languages), between circuits and electronics, and biological between cells etc. I think this was my favourite project I did in my whole time there.

UPDATE: Im thinking of cutting these banners into smaller sections, and adding to them to update them. After all, being nearly 3 metres long each they are a bit of a pain to do anything with.

UNICODE 5.1.0 meets Or-Omcode∞.1.0

Unicode represents the Tower ob Babel en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Babel In computing, Unicode is an industry standard allowing computers to consistently represent and manipulate text expressed in most of the world's writing systems. Developed in tandem with the Universal Character Set standard and published in book form as The Unicode Standard, Unicode consists of a repertoire of more than 100,000 characters, a set of code charts for visual reference, an encoding methodology and set of standard character encodings, an enumeration of character properties such as upper and lower case, a set of reference data computer files, and a number of related items, such as character properties, rules for normalization, decomposition, collation, rendering and bidirectional display order (for the correct display of text containing both right-to-left scripts, such as Arabic or Hebrew, and left-to-right scripts). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UniCode

This 3-shot series demonstrates a younger, very submissive wolf demonstrating subservience to a much higher in rank dominant one. The submissive body language includes posture, head not only down but tilting, tail down and crouching.

Day 133.

Have you ever looked at a foreign language and wondered how it could possibly have the same meaning as something else in your own language? If not, log in to Flickr, refresh your "Home" page a couple of times, and count how many ways you can greet someone.

Today, Randy encountered some Chinese characters that looked more like pictures than words. Underneath those characters were the same words in English (which didn't make much sense to Randy either, since he can only read Reindeer). Luckily for Randy, some Chinese characters resemble their meaning, so he turned this learning opportunity into a game - can you tell what the Chinese characters look like?

(For those who can read English words, don't cheat by looking at the English!).
