Today the LSL operated Blue pullman operated a railtour from Eastleigh to Penzance which I captured exiting Parsons tunnel on the seawall near Teignmouth.

LSL's Midland Pullman makes it debut on 1Z43 09:10 London St. Pancras - Crewe charter. HST power cars 43055 and 43046 are providing the power as the Blue Pullman passes Hasland on the approach to Chesterfield. Saturday December 12th 2020.
LSL Class 20s D8107 and D8096 head through Twyford with an Eastleigh to Southall stock move.
Locomotives: English Electric Class 20s D8107 (20107) "Jocelyn Feilding 1940-2020" and D8096 (20096).
Location: Twyford station, Berkshire.
After stopping to test the cab signaling and locomotive speed limiter equipment, the crew of Norfolk Southern train Y90 gets underway again in Harrisburg with the Norfolk and Western heritage unit leading.
The orange light on the cab lets everyone know the LSLs are working as the train gets the signal down the Royalton Branch to the Port Road. LSLs are required for the stretch of Amtrak the train will run to get to its final destination of Baltimore, MD.
Side note for the late night buffs: the state employee parking lot next to Harris Tower has been completely renovated, including better security lighting. The good news is it's easier to pull of shots like this. The bad news is the Capitol Police can use the improved lighting to see you loitering after dark. Happy hunting! ;)
LSL Midland Pullman HST flashes north this morning approaching Springs Branch MPD with 'The West Highland Pullman'.
* Hard to believe these days but this was an area of intensive activity up until the early 70's.
Bamfurlong Sorting Sidings box was situated to the right along with 17 sidings and to the left was Bamfurlong North and Ince Moss Sidings.
The slow lines going under the WCML went to Springs Branch MPD and also the Whelley line via Platt Bridge Junction.
The whole layout was rationalised and slewed here plus the flyover was raised for electrification in September 1972.

LSL's 47712 'Lady Diana Spencer' approaches Foley Hill Tunnel,Kidderminster working the 11:45 Highley to Kidderminster service at the Severn Valley Railways Spring Diesel Gala.
Intercity liveried Class 47 No. 47828 is seen passing Plymtree Overbridge, Cullompton, while operating 1Z69 the 17.25 Kingswear to High Wycombe return leg of the 'Dartmouth Royal Regatta Statesman' excursion on Saturday 28th August 2021. 47614 was on the rear.
Locomotive Services Limited 47828 (on hire from D05 preservation) is seen rounding the corner at Tyseley on an ECS back to Crewe from Banbury. 47614 (853) can be seen on the rear of the train. 29/08/2021
Currently seeing quite a lot of use, LSL 20096 & 20107 were used to move former DRS & Freightliner 57007 from Carlisle to Crewe this morning. Seen here running ahead of booked time having just passed Bamfurlong Junction.
57007 is believed to be joining the LSL fleet.
* The Ashton Hanson stone train with GBRf 60096 and the Ravenhead - Chaddesden sand empties with DCR 56091 passed on the far lines 20-30 mins earlier but came to a halt as the light guarding Haydock Branch Junction failed to come off.
Network Rail response team attended the scene after a long walk and the sand eventually got away two hours late.
** Bamfurlong Station existed on the far slow lines just this side of Lily Lane bridge in the background, closed in 1950.
47712 (numbered at 47711) heads into Lanark today with day 1 of LSL's Central Scotland and Fife Push Pull tour. Over 40 years since the last 47 at Lanark apparently ! 05/10/24

LSL`s 57311 named "Institution of Mechanical Engineers" is seen passing Burn with 1Z71 the 16.47 York to London kings cross (Steam Dreams) charter 23/07/2025.
I think the LNWR lined black livery on 57311 looks good matched with the Saphos carmine/cream stock.
The Bodysnatcher should have been the rear gunner but Riddles BR standard Class 7 4-6-0 Pacific 70000 "Britannia" failed ( its bearing were getting a bit warm) earlier near Peterborough whilst working 1Z70 the 07.48 London kings cross to York.
All the cloud melted away by the evening so I went back to Frodsham Viaduct for the return "Snowdonia Statesman" but from the north side by the sailing club. 47805"Roger Hosking MA" leads 1Z89 16.08 Blaenau Ffestiniog - Hull. Wednesday 19 May 2021.

90001 at Dunston on Friday only 1Z41 17:27 Euston to Manchester Piccadilly. Operated by Locomotive Intercity, a subsidary of Locomotive Services Limited. 19/08/22
Operating over 90 minutes late, LSL Class 57, No 57003 arrives at Tuebrook Sidings at the head of 6Z26 10.08hrs Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax Aes biomass. The shunter is walking forward to detached 57003 from the train, with the Class 60 at the other end already attached and will be ready to depart. 7th November 2022.

68005 "Defiant"T&T with 68033 pass an overgrown Penmaenmawr with ecs off an LSL tour. 5Z32 11.03 Llandudno Jn - Holyhead CS. Saturday 12 October 2019. Pole shot through necessity.
LSL 47593 taken from Liverpool Road approaching Warrington Bank Quay on the up fast with 1Z88 0549 Hull to Blaenau Ffestiniog 'Snowdonia Statesman' charter.
With this location being local to work, a quick 15 minute nip out was in order and thankfully the sun just cleared a large cloud in time.
82139 leads the return of the Royal Scot back to London Euston with 90002 providing the power. The set pauses at Rugby 12/12/2020
LSL 47593 arrives at Carlisle from Chester with the Saphos charter to Edinburgh. Since I last traveled behind this superb locomotive it has had a repaint into Inter-City livery.
BR Green Liveried 37521 and 37667 are photographed arriving into Carstairs station working 5Z12 from St Bees which ran via The Settle to Carlisle line, G&SW route, Ayrshire coast, Paisley Gilmour Street and Motherwell.
The 37s ran round the train to later depart as 5Z13 to Glenfinnan via The West Highland Line.

The purpose of these workings, the workings the previous day to and from Berwick Upon Tweed and indeed the moves over the next couple of days are for training Locomotive Services Ltd staff in preparation for rail tours/charters in the near future all being well.

D1924 (47810) & D1935 (47805) pass Willington with a Statesman ECS heading for Crewe. A frustrating one this as we missed the sun by seconds at Gateway Jn then again here, at least the trees in the background are nicely lit...
