LSL HST Midland Pullman set works the 1Z24 The Settle to Carlisle and Coastal Pullman photographed at Eskmeals Viaduct just south of Ravenglass. The 1Z24 is the return from Carlisle to Gerrards Cross.

LSL's first HST charter set "Midland Pullman" moved back to Eastleigh today for some more work. All 8 Mk3s feature 1st Class accommodation. Additionally all the Mk3s are ex GWR stock so this move see's them back on home turf so to speak.

LSL ScotRail 47712 with the Push-Pull set is seen crossing the Rochdale Canal on Gauxholme Viaduct. The move, after filming for a couple of days on the East Lancashire Railway, later required a reversal at Huddersfield. 47712 will feature in the 2023 Keighley & Worth Valley Diesel Gala along with no fewer than four class 37's and the Rail Adventure HST's.

Great to see and hear a 'Peak' back on the mainline and a added bonus for its loaded test run was a full set of Statesman coaches.
* 45118 caught fire at the end of BR service on a Newcastle - Bristol Mail and was condemned. It was taken in convoy with other Peaks from Tinsley to the March scrap line.
Amazingly it got saved for preservation through an appeal in Steam Railway Magazine and went to the Northampton Steam Railway.

LSL D213 (40013) 'Andania' & 37403 'Isle of Mull' work north to LSL's Carlisle Upperby base on a route learning move that will tomorrow and Monday will see 37403 or 37521? traverse the S&C a couple of times.
40013 looks to be returning to Crewe on Friday afternoon but returns to Carlisle Tuesday to do an out and back to Skipton before returning back to base at LSL Crewe.

The 1Z33 06:00 St Ives to Shrewsbury service was meant to pass through Totnes at 10:14 am but due to technical issues with one of the locos at Penzance it put the service behind by 3 hours. It did though make up a little bit of time and made it to Totnes just before 1pm although had to wait for a few minutes to let the XC service pass.
Despite the delay it was worth seeing the double header of 37667 'Flopsie' 37521 in their dark green livery and the hold at Totnes was a bonus as I was able to capture more pictures of them.
