These lilacs just started to bloom outside the vet.'s office where I work.

These are the lilacs that bloom first where I live. I can't wait for them to bloom this year. Taken from my archives.

PLEASE DO NOT FAVE WITHOUT LEAVING A COMMENT. THANK YOU.

Taken while walking round the village on the May Day Weekend., The variation of colours really caught my eye!

Taken with my Canon EOS 7D and Canon EF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens, and framed in Photoshop.

Fresh cut blossoms from the Lilac Tree in my back garden! The blossoms start out a deep, grape colour & then open to this pretty shade!

Usually when the Lilacs are blooming there are many butterflies on them but this year I have only seen two so far and not on the Lilacs. I am still hoping to see more...

This little dwarf Korean lilac is one of our favourite trees. It blossoms profusely and the scent is ambrosial

Getting a bit tired of winter. This morning, we woke up to windchill of -31oC and snow. It can get a bit depressing, so I have decided to dig for some pretty colors and cheer myself up. Enjoy! ;D

This is our favourite lilac - neither of us had ever seen two tone lilac blooms before and we just had to purchase it in 2007 when we bought this house.

Many thanks to all those who comment and leave faves for this photo.

...are a sign of the times; Spring time to be exact.

I intended to photograph both Lovey in and Lilac together, and I did, but I didn't like any of the photos afterwards. In fact, I'm just not crazy about Lovely In's fashion. she was quickly redressed. I did however upload one of the two dolls together.

Lilacs,

False blue,

White,

Purple,

Color of lilac.

Heart-leaves of lilac all over New England,

Roots of lilac under all the soil of New England,

Lilac in me because I am New England,

Because my roots are in it,

Because my leaves are of it,

Because my flowers are for it,

Because it is my country

And I speak to it of itself

And sing of it with my own voice

Since certainly it is mine.

My favorite spring flower. One must know it's smell to know how lovely it is. I'm so fortunate to grow these on my property...

Capture of a newly bloomed lilac after an evening of showers.

I am learning that flower photos don't always have to be taken with a macro lens, 300mm from a distance and this turned out just fine.

Another sign of spring the lilacs are in bloom. Have a great day everyone--and thanks so much for stopping by!
