For prosperity, I've taken a shot of our finished kitchen make-over. I don't usually bother with interior stereographic projections; small rooms make it very difficult to reduce parallax issues, but this one came out reasonably well.. only a few patch-ups to look okay.

Last night, I had an accident in the kitchen...
... I was making Kevin a special drink, my own raspberry lime rickey, blended with ice. So I pressed frozen raspberries through a strainer to get just the juice out and blended that with lime juice, sugar, and ice to make a fizzy, icy, sour drink. I gave Kevin the drink. Later, after we'd been sitting in the living room for an hour or so, he walked into the kitchen and saw this. I guess I just set the little strainer down on the counter, the raspberries that were left melted and emitted a lot of juice.
It looked so beautiful (and gruesome), I couldn't resist photographing it.

We had our old kitchen ripped out, and new cupboards put in a week ago. We are getting stone benches, which takes a couple of weeks from measure to install. They are due next Wednesday, which means we can have a sink / taps and our dishwasher again, which will be fantastic. It is amazing how much you depend on these for all meals of the day. That and having a bench top to work with. The floor covering goes in tomorrow.
Sue had her last day of work for may weeks today, so 3/4 of us are now on holidays, which means I kind of am :-)
On a side topic, I received a link of our group shot from the Help Portrait last Sunday. It was certainly a great crew that I got to meet and work with.
