Even though I happened to visit the Smithsonian when Dorothy's slippers had gone to London, the sight of my favorite TV host sitting in its place made me equally as happy. I mean, who doesn't love this frog?!
I love Kermit the Frog & the Muppets. Jim Henson was a genius. Here both of them are immortalized in concrete at Disney World.
Kermit the Frog joins first lady Michelle Obama in the annual reading of A Visit from St. Nicholas at the National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony.
A few weeks ago, on December 11th, we had a Holiday Brou-ha-ha gathering at the studio. Lots of people came and ate sweets and had a good time. Robert Daniel, the head honcho over at Glass and Gear, a local gear rental house, graciously donated the use of some very festive lighting to the studio, which made it look absolutely gorgeous. Dave Seah let me use his old Canon G4 point and shoot camera and we set up a "Fun Cam" station near the back of the studio, where visitors could take quick self portraits of themselves.
Here are some images of the studio, decked out in all its festive glory, and images from the Fun Cam sessions.
I'm looking forward to another gathering next year, and realize that it is now impossible to have any kind of function without decor lighting.

Two poor frogs, living in the ghetto. All they have to eat for dinner is a slice of apple. At least they have each other.

Here's a trashy new look for Lady Gaga after her typically outlandish Grammys fashion show - in a portrait of the Paparazzi singer made out of junk. The portrait by 3D mosaic artist Jason Mecier includes leftover Hello Kitty merchandise from her photoshoot to help celebrate the famous white cat's 35th birthday last year. It is also made from poker chips, dozens of broken sunglasses, rhinestones, recycled electronic parts and a dismembered Kermit the Frog doll as a tribute to the bizarre Kermit dress Gaga memorably wore on German TV. The headline-grabbing Poker Face singer also arrived at last year's MTV Video Music Awards with Kermit as her date. The portraits will be part of Mecier's 'Celebrity Junk Drawer' show at the Ghettogloss gallery in LA on March 17. The show continues at the Given gallery in San Francisco from April 2 to May 31.

President Obama extends a hand to someone on stage at the end of the tree lighting ceremony. It wasn't Carson Daly.
Happy Valentine's day! Here's hoping everyone finds a love as true as this one.
