Tim wanted to know if the green thing in this picture was Kermit The Frog's ear. Nope, it's not. It is my lovely lime green and hot pink pillow that I made one day when i was bored with scrap materials i found around the house.

Really nice haul today. That Kermit’s tag is cut off, but it’s from Fisher Price, and I’m guessing from the 1970’s. I’ve never seen Ruthless People, but always wanted to. And Near Dark is my favorite vampire movie, besides Interview with the Vampire. That animated Christmas Carol is pretty rare. I already have a copy, but this is a different cover, and in good shape. Animated by the great Richard Williams (Who Framed Roger Rabbit), and produced by the legendary Chuck Jones. It’s really quiet and dark in tone. Sadly, I couldn’t find Stay Puft’s body. This was my absolute favorite when I was a kid (see how I even wrote my name, and the year on it). I would sit perfectly still, listening to it over and over again. The little man LOVES Kermit and Robin, but can't seem to get the sitting still part down. Of course, he has Muppets DVDs. When I was his age, we didn't even have VCRs yet.

Synopsis
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10-million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit the Frog reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called The Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, "The Muppets" hits the big screen November 23, 2011.

My aunt Connie always sends me the nicest and coolest cards for my birthday/Halloween/Christmas. I came home tonight to a letter in the box from her. When I opened it, I immediately could tell it was an older card. This Sesame Street “play card” from 1984 (my birth year), is so adorable and cool! She also included some cash (of course), and a Polaroid of me as a kid, in my childhood home. Bringing it all back to Jim Henson and the Muppets, here I am holding my Kermit doll (and a truck). This photo brings me sadness and happiness. I also love how the sofa backdrop I used to take these pictures is so similar to the one I’m sitting on in the photo. That’s my kinda style. Thank you, Aunt Connie. And thank you for being the kind of aunt who sends a 41 year old birthday money.
