Terri and I get out in our kayaks when ever we get the chance these days. Today (Saturday) we went out from Henderson beach to White Islets. (Two little bumps in the ocean) It's the first time we've gone around it. I loved the experience! My new kayak is much smaller than my other one and feels more stable in rough water. Now I can load it and carry it from the car on my own.
We were only able to get out in the kayak on one occasion because of a tight schedule but it was Gerhard's first kayaking experience. After a couple of hours on the water, he was looking forward to the next outing. A male bald eagle and a couple of families of Goldeye ducks provided a birder an added incentive to paddle on.

Greater Reno-Tahoe business leaders hit the streets of San Francisco today to promote the region’s hybrid lifestyle to professionals in the Bay Area. A street team of Reno/Tahoe ambassadors outfitted in half kayak gear and half professional attire landed on a street corner in front of the historic Ferry Building to hand out hundreds of invitations to a lifestyle and job event that Reno/Tahoe is hosting at the Ferry Building on Thursday, June 26 from 6-9pm. Come one come all!
