Kayaking around Santee Lakes, not for swimming, but paddle boats, kayaks and canoes can be rented, wildlife is abundant!
Kayaking down the recreational side at the kayak park, sometimes you make it, other times you have problems, but as long as you make it to the bottom in one piece its all good.
I bought a length of oak from Home Depot this morning, then rigged the circular saw up with a fence this afternoon. Kya ripped a stack of rib blanks for us.
My favorite kayak shop in the late afternoon, returning from bay cruise during Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival
A wonderful day kayaking on the St. Lawrence river with Flckr friend and fellow photographer Richard Pilon

Everyone at my office received a "lemonade list" a week and a half ago. One of my 4 was to take a bookshelf design I came up with and build it for our "Zen Room".
Most excellent!
Another co-worker who just took a test Wednesday as well thought the crappy day would be much better if we left at noon and headed over to my garage. Just after he showed up our 2 large pizzas were delivered! Mmmm pizza. 3 1/2 hours later Ryan had to take off but we had got all the pieces cut and most of it assembled. I refused to leave the garage until it was completely assembled!
It was awesome to have another wood worker in the garage with me to bounce ideas off of and work together to "hammer" out a project that much faster. I hope there are other projects we can team up on in the future.
I made such good time that I even had some spare time to clean the garage and throw another couple strips on the kayak!
