Hi, everyone. I have been very busy working and photographing, lately. I wanted to share this image from the Northern California coast, though. While en route to a night shoot, I made a mad dash down the cliff to the mouth of the Russian River to catch the setting sun's light where I used to hang out a lot in the 80's/90's.

The Scott Monument, once whimsically described as being like a giant Gothic rocket ship by author Bill Bryson, is a Victorian Gothic monument to Sir Walter Scott. Not only was he a lawyer, a novelist and a poet, but he was also an advocate, a sheriff, a campaigner for the continued Union of Scotland and England as well as a great public figure.
It's the second largest monument to a writer in the world and stands in Princes Street Gardens, opposite the Jenners department store (visible on the left) on Princes Street, and near the Edinburgh Waverley railway station, which is named after Scott's Waverley novels.
For a small charge, you can ascend the 287 steps to the top for a great view of the city.

June 21, 2016: IT girls Hailey Baldwin, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid seen out together after having dinner at The Smile in Soho, New York City. Kendall wore a sheer top that showed off her nipple piercing, while Baldwin and Hadid went for a more subtle look.

This is the spooky colour of lights Jenners have on the exterior of there store in Edinburgh.
One of the Jenner Bald Eagles flies over the mouth of the Russian River. I photographed the pair mating a few months ago. Since then only one has been seen at a time while the other tends to the nesting duties. Hopefully in a few more months we will get a chance to see fledges.
