The Jenner is a mountain in Bavaria, Germany. It is part of the Göll massif within the Berchtesgaden Alps. Its summit, accessible from Schönau by cable car (Jennerbahn) since 1953, offers panoramic views to the Watzmann range and the Königssee below.
Several hiking trails lead to the neighbouring Hohes Brett and Schneibstein peaks, and into the Berchtesgaden National Park area in the south. The mountain is also the site of an Alpine ski resort and a popular destination for ski mountaineers.

Today I went into central Edinburgh to meet Sarah Jane, who was passing through. It was fun, though she had a train to catch so it was a short meeting.
With the rest of the day to myself, I started with lunch in the restaurant at Jenners department store. It has a spectacular view over to the Scott Monument.
After trying on a couple of dresses there and visiting an art gallery, I ended in the evening by seeing The Girl On The Train (recommended).
This portrait of Kendall Jenner was taken at the USA Today White House Correspondents Dinner Pre-Party. Credit: USA Today/Gannett. I was the second shooter photographing on behalf of Ben Droz. She's actually taller than I am (6'1"), at least in those heels.
Jenner Gardens is a beautifully conserved historic graveyard in the heart of Cheltenham now dedicated to the pioneer of vaccination Edward Jenner(1749-1823) who once lived nearby. The garden is full of managed wild flowers and roses and there are plans for a statue of the great man in the future here. It is a true little oasis of calm and serenity and one of Cheltenham’s best kept secrets.

This image was taken at the Jenner Headlands Preserve. The weather permitted great visibility during our visit offering grand views of the landscape. Typically there can be fog that minimizes the view. As the light continued to fade I increased my shutter to catch the final light using a long exposure.
This zebra and cheetah patterned armor is worn by a very beautiful and stunning woman. The Power armor is The Brick Barracks (thanks J), the vambraces are Brickforge, the greaves and toes (made from sprues) are Brick Warriors. The gun is Clone Army Customs. This was painted by me.
It was 80 degrees 4 less than the previous day, and I think their was less than 100 hundred people at the beach.
“I thought of you and how you love this beauty,
And walking up the long beach all alone
I heard the waves breaking in measured thunder
As you and I once heard their monotone.
Around me were the echoing dunes, beyond me
The cold and sparkling silver of the sea --
We two will pass through death and ages lengthen
Before you hear that sound again with me.”

Volvo B8L / Enviro 400XLB number 1064 (SJ19 OVX) manages to shine with a sparkle on this wet Saturday morning and passes Jenners on South St David Street.
Jenners used to be the second oldest independent department store in the United Kingdom, after Austins of Derry, Northern Ireland, and was long family-run, and until 2018 was under the ownership of House of Fraser. It has maintained its original position on Princes Street since 1838 and contains over 100 different departments selling a large variety of goods.
William Hamilton Beattie (who had started work on designing the North British Hotel) was engaged in 1893 as the architect and the store formally opened on Wednesday the 8th March 1895.
It is especially adored for its grand hall and balconied vistas where each level can be viewed from the one above. A marvellous sight indeed and particularly in December when its famous Christmas tree is centrally positioned to span ground to top floor.
Known as the "Harrods of the North" it has held a Royal Warrant since 1911, and was visited by our Queen Elizabeth in 1988. It has retained its name for its entire history.
