Taking the Plunge.
We stopped nearby for lunch, then took a good, long look at this obstacle. We couldn't determine how deep the water was, so someone walked out to see. Turns out it was about the depth of my tires, which are (at that time) 33 inches. No problem for any Jeep.

The Jeep CJ-10 was a CJ-based pickup truck. Produced from 1981 through 1985, it was sold mainly as an export vehicle, though some were used by the United States Air Force for use as an aircraft pulling vehicle (see CJ-10a). They featured square headlights mounted in the fenders and a 9-slot grille, a homage to the old Jeeps of WWII which originally had a 9 slot grille (the civilian model, the CJ-2 and 2a, were given a 7 slot grille as a distinction between the military and civilian models).
After 7 tries (or were they 8, I don't know!) here is my Willys Jeep. It fits 3 figs comfortably. It's 5 studs Wide and 10 long.

As I was driving to Moab this morning, I saw there was going to be a nice sunrise. I quickly looked for an interesting setting to take a photo from, but came up with nothing. So I found a dirt road, pulled off the highway and put my Jeep in the foreground.

MOC: Jeep. A modern interpretation of the classic 6514 "Trail Ranger".
Part of my "Updated Classics" series - an ever-growing number of sets I've re-interpreted in order to make them fit better with modern LEGO City vehicles and buildings.
The weather might not be perfect at all times, so the jeep comes with a hardtop, complete with a pair of (covered) searchlights. All stickers are official LEGO stickers.
I recently purchased this well-maintained 2011 Jeep. It was a nice warm day up here in Wisconsin so I thought it would be a good day to go topless.
The official name of this vehicle was "U.S. Army Truck, 1/4 ton, 4x4." There were about 650,000 made and they served around the world.
