Iterative prototyping for the wearable light logger for Light Catchers www.michaelang.com/project/lightcatchers
Iterations 17-19; these were done on watercolor paper. I did a pencil sketch first, then drew over it with a Pilot G-TEC .004 black ink pen, then added a very light ink wash for the shadows. I love how the ink line bleeds in the wash. It wasn't 'til version 19 that I felt like I was getting the cathedral-arch-like shape of the shovel head right.
S4 Craft & Design pupils are generating ideas. They have a lot of work to do before these ideas become finally resolved working concepts. Still some members of the class are off to a great start...

First Iteration/progress of info graphic. Text not grammatically correct yet. Red is where placement of graph/images will be. Layout, text size will be adjusted. Colour scheme and Header is finalised.
iterating a little bit , i realize that the two pane can actually be more like the one from "storything" vs.. the lovebomb.
The repeated use of modules as a means for building textures of various natures, capable of evoking different sensations give rise to these sets of patterns for fabrics, wrapping paper, wall papers, books among others.

The rapid prototype iterative prototyping method, on the other hand, will facilitate functionally scoped, yet entirely deployable versions of the software program to be delivered to customers incrementally. Functionality is enhanced by means of new iterations until the final...

Added a front rack, some brake nubs, and retired the Big Apples for a while and went back to the old, trusty WTB Interwolfs, size 38/38. Thing feels more agile and quick as a result.
Future Plans: powder coat the shit out of everything and replace, completely, the drive train. While I'm listing, I might as well throw in some Velocity VXC rims, new mid-price range hubs, and I'd like to give those Schwalbe Super Moto's a spin.
Issues: all drive train-related: chain comes off the front ring quite often, maybe once a day, due to the cassette being too far out of line with the chain ring. Not quite sure, yet, how to remedy this. My initial impressions would be to find a cassette that is narrower between each cog, and maybe more offset toward the end of the axle so that it is closer in line w/ the chain ring. I need a rear brake, like bad, too.
Experiment done during the Free Art Sunday #4 an event organized by Free Art Bureau.
The topic was FOR loop iterations to create patterns.
All experiments we acheived during this day was explore the sin wave behavior.
This is a continuation of one of my original iterations, only significantly changed to more suit my new ideas and plans. I coded this myself in C# with Visual Studios, but it is only the beginning portion of the code. The program asks what you are feeling, and then gives you a range of simplistic emotions to choose from: sad, happy, angry, or other. Currently, I just have the sad option coded. When selecting it, the program tells you that it will ask you yes or no questions to better qualify and illustrate how you are actually feeling. It asks questions like “Do you feel like crying?”, “Is your sadness a result of disappointment or embarrassment?”, or “Do you feel a sense of humor with your depression?” After answering a certain amount of questions, the program will spit out the appropriate symbol to go along with the emotion you are feeling. For example, if you described your sadness as ironic and humorous, a depression meme would be given to you. If you said no to all of the questions, therefore implying you are not feeling anything but are vaguely aware of sadness, then it would give you a blanked face, emotionless emoji. I would have a combination of emojis, memes, vines, and other symbols that would be spit out as qualifiers to what the user is feeling. The idea is that this would be a program for younger users still learning to use symbols with language. When they are confused about what symbol to show, they could use this to tell them what would best illustrate that. I took a screenshot of the opening text of the code that is still a work in progress for my documentation. I was imagining the Force Field Model, along with a feminist structure for this iteration. Primarily because this would have to be set up in a classroom for the full effect to occur.

The HT setup in it's latest iteration. Now with nice speakers on all 5 channels and upscaling DVD player with SACD and DVD-Audio capability.
The first iteration of a logo design for Uncovered Films - a site covering the film genres of Independent, cult, horror, low budget, etc. w/ news and reviews.
This idea was eventually scrapped and revamped with new (Better looking) stars. I'm hard to please, but I finally got it looking how I want for now.
The background is of Blu-ray discs, something I strongly support.
An iteration of the anneAlgo, as we have now fondly named this procedure. Anne was the first public person to receive a drawing from SAM back in 2014 when we presented the first working prototype. Consequently, she has become a test image for the development.

A collective installation by Constant & esc
"I don’t know where this is going" is the second part of Iterations, a project investigating the future of collaborative artistic practices in a technologically networked context. The exhibition presents a collective installation by Pascale Barret (BE/FR), Miriam Raggam (AT), Claire Williams (BE/FR), François Zajega (BE), Julien Deswaef (USA/BE) and Annie Abrahams (NL/FR).
