There's something magical about little wildernesses in urban areas. Patches of sunlight find their way in through the beech and hazel to rest upon tangles of brambles and grasses wrestling for space and the warmth of the sun. These are always peaceful spots and a haven for small birds and mammals.
Final Major Project - BA Fashion Photography.
working title -
How do I represent Immensity within the Photographic Frame?
My project led me on an immense journey - exploring such concepts as the inner and outer cosmos, Bachelard's concept of 'Intimate Immensity', the circle as a portal and a 'geometric architype of the psyche' (Dr. Jung), a baby's 'Mirror Stage' (Lacan), our place in the universe, photographic frame = eye, entering an image mentally and photography as alchemy, asking the camera to work counter intuitively, and to work as a tool to learn about the universe.

This effect was created by shooting through my friend's sunglasses, so essentially a diy filter for my disposable. The rim of the lens also made some sweet vignetting!

It smelled lush and overwhelming like a Stargazer, but I've never seen a yellow one of those. A new cultivar?
There were two growing off the same stem, one inside the fence and the other outside. The late evening sighting made for fabulous light- though very different- on both sides of the fence. A closer look at the one inside.
I posted another version (square and harsher) of this same image before but I think I much prefer this gentle version and this crop factor.

Happy Waterfall Wednesday!!!
This is a very small part of a much larger river scene....the water lever was right to get down in here and shoot this....nothing terribly exciting but I did think the triple cascade was kinda cool.

Ah, "M". A favourite model for a few years pre-covid. She was good friends with Chloe, another of my favourite models. M came to one of Chloe's sessions with me and was so taken by the process that she started modelling too. But now she's moved on to other things in life.
