“To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

Hello everyone,

for those who didn't participated in the bird Survey for NCC this weekend at Nature Kenauk (Outaouais) you all missed a fun week end. Great weather, fun teams, beautiful and interesting habitats, many birds and wildlife were observed and even the insects were on their good behavior.

Green heron in nice light and interesting pose .

Interesting building in Brussels. I think I am right to say that it is on Avenue Franklin Roosevelt number 185.

Photographed at BJ's restaurant during Jeremy's going away lunch.

Wow. I'm shocked. Japan's prime minister recently apologized to Korea for 1910 to 1945. And this apology was much more believable than the past apologies by prime ministers.

Then I'm watching this special on TV about WWII. Interesting!! Won't get into details but it makes me think of lots of sugar on a donuts.

Anyways this guy is my super star of the week.

Classic view with Mt Watzmann twin peaks

They reminded me of something from Sailor Moon.

Some really crazy cloud patterns.

The windows are two to three distinct layers. The figures generally are the most foreward layer made of painted/stained figures. The back layers are not painted but glass chosen to "read" as objects with a minimial amount of leading and no painting.

Every once in a while I'll see an NS unit mixed in with a bunch of UP power ... but this is the first time I've seen a train around here being pulled by all NS power.

INTERESTING FACTS

The Brown Pelican can hold about three gallons of water (and fish) in its pouch. They have air sacks beneath their skin and in their bones that make them very buoyant.

The Brown Pelican incubates its eggs in an unusual manner; it covers them with its webbed feet. This practice was detrimental to the species when the pesticide DDT was in common use. This pesticide caused thinning of the eggshells resulting in so many broken eggs that the species became endangered.

Though adult pelicans may consume as much as four pounds of fish per day, they do not compete with sport or commercial fishermen because of type of fish they eat.

A group of pelicans has many collective nouns, including a "brief", "pod", "pouch", "scoop", and "squadron" of pelicans.

This large tree at Weirs Beach made a very interesting contrast in front of the late afternoon sky. I love how the light seeps between all the leaves, and creates an interesting pattern.

Not sure what this plant is, or what it's up to, but I can't help but look at it and see an outrageous and electrified hairdo! Found in the King's Tableland, upper Blue Mountains, NSW.

...Interesting what you may see while exploring on acid not that i would know but this is my vision of what it may be like or the way one could possibly see things @ The legendary area 33.........THIS IMAGE IS JUST FOR THE FUN OF EXPERIMENTING!!!!!!!!!!!

This sign directs cars to Martha's Vineyard just like any other directional sign, but it's interesting because Martha's Vineyard is an island and the sign is actually directing traffic to the Steamship Authority Terminal, a vehicle ferry to the island
