Central Nave. Corinthian columns and beautifully decorated ceiling.

Saint-Paul outside the walls (outside the Aurelian walls) is one of four major basilicas in Rome. The current church, once the largest in the world, is a reconstruction of the fourth century church which burned down in 1823.

When people talk about macro, they mostly mention the flower, but we can find many small interesting subjects in nature, which will be beautiful. I like 35mm macro lenses because it is a wide-angle lens and I can have less blurry subject. When the focal length gets longer, the focus points gets more complex. That’s why people are using photo stacking. They take many pictures in different focus points and stack together with post processing software. Today I took this shot. Photography is fun. We need to walk and drive a few miles and find a better location even for macro photography.

We are moving forward by traveling backward !

Fungi of beechwood: These are unusual looking bracket-like fungi the name of which I am not sure. Any ideas about ID would be much appreciated. They are attached with a small stalk to the wood and have white porous underside with irregular pores. I have taken picture of these fungi on the same fallen branch early in December last year and they didn’t grow much over a month (either slow growing or already full grown) and their porous side remains white too. This collage shows both upperside and underside of this group. Lansdown, Bath, BANES, England, U.K.

With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️

An interesting phenomena in rural North America is something called a barn quilt. Barn quilts are eight-foot square or larger painted replicas of actual fabric quilt blocks. The idea of this artwork is to draw attention to the disappearing rural landscapes, timber frame barns and the family farm. This wonderful stone gate provides a perfect frame for a lovely timber barn and its quilt found near Colchester, Ontario.

Margerethenkapelle on top of the Wiehengebirge. One of my special places since I visited a concert on a Winter evening here many years ago. October waved goodby with sunshine and warm tempereratures and we used the perfect weather for an extended hiking tour on the Wittedindsweg, a crest trail on the Wiehengebirge from Porta Westfalica in the East to the Osnabrück area in the West. Before the sun went down we visited the most interesting spots of the Eastern part of the trail.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

Proteas are a beautiful and interesting plant family from Southern Africa being very similar in appearance to the Waratah family of plants in Australia.

Proteas belong to the same family of plants (Proteaceae) as Australia's native Banksias, Grevilleas and Waratahs plus they require similar soil and climatic conditions and are extremely resilient plants.

The Proteaceae plants are an ancient plant family from the time of the Gondwana super continent when Dinosaurs were still extant.

Fossils of Grevillea Robusta (Proteaceae family) and feather fossils from this time period have been found from birds believed to be filling a similar ecological niche to todays Honey eaters for fertilizing these flowers.

Red is such an interesting color to correlate with emotion, because it's on both ends of the spectrum. On one end you have happiness, falling in love, infatuation with someone, passion, all that. On the other end, you've got obsession, jealousy, danger, fear, anger and frustration.

Interesting viewed large, a view of the Brighton coast 30 miles away stretching for miles along the coast past Newhaven to the cliffs probably 40 miles away. All from a phone!

On the way to Fáskrúðsfjörður, located on the same-named fjord, lies between Reyðarfjörður and Stöðvarfjörður. It is one of the easternmost settlements of Iceland. Fáskrúðsfjörður was home to a hospital founded to serve French fishermen working here until 1935. But I was more admiring the fjord’s natural beauty.

Just interesting to look at. Are you looking up? Or standing in a tube looking straight ahead?
