Wow. I'm shocked. Japan's prime minister recently apologized to Korea for 1910 to 1945. And this apology was much more believable than the past apologies by prime ministers.
Then I'm watching this special on TV about WWII. Interesting!! Won't get into details but it makes me think of lots of sugar on a donuts.
Anyways this guy is my super star of the week.
Our local paper mill, to be honest I think this is mostly steam and it was a very cold morning. I just wanted to try some 'smokey' shots to see how the movement worked.
This is a 3 exp HDR.
Our homestay hostesses...Beverly is South Africa and her brother is married to Noi, who speaks very little English. It was an interesting week!

The windows are two to three distinct layers. The figures generally are the most foreward layer made of painted/stained figures. The back layers are not painted but glass chosen to "read" as objects with a minimial amount of leading and no painting.
This large tree at Weirs Beach made a very interesting contrast in front of the late afternoon sky. I love how the light seeps between all the leaves, and creates an interesting pattern.

Not sure what this plant is, or what it's up to, but I can't help but look at it and see an outrageous and electrified hairdo! Found in the King's Tableland, upper Blue Mountains, NSW.
This sign directs cars to Martha's Vineyard just like any other directional sign, but it's interesting because Martha's Vineyard is an island and the sign is actually directing traffic to the Steamship Authority Terminal, a vehicle ferry to the island
Seen the the Interesting Times sculpture show at University of Leicester Botanic Garden. It wasn't an exhibit; it was just growing on a tree near one.
Nortthbound NextGen Amtrak Acela Express Train # 2170 to Boston. This image was taken a few blocks south of the Amtrak station in the City of Wilmington, Delaware.
My essential question was what makes something interesting. I used a random word generator and came up with the word interesting and just decided to do the first one that came to my mind. My work shows the the different perspectives of different types of things which can in fact be interesting. I considered the question what makes something popular and I decided that it might be a little to broad. I feel my final pieces achieved what I was trying to achieve. They are shot very well with no lighting problems or camera shake.
