International judicial conference.

I discovered this simple memorial whilst I was walking back to my B&B in Harmondsworth. A simple bench with a plaque(www.flickr.com/photos/fateapics/54309144843/in/datetaken-...) that reads "In Memory Of Tommy Thomas 1922-2015. 161SD Sqn Lysander Mail Pick-Up" together with a 161 Squadron wreath.

That immediately got my interest as I knew 161 Squadron were part of Special Operations Executive(WW2) who dropped off secret agents and collected communications.

A quick google revealed the really interesting character behind the memorial, including a filmed interview, www.legasee.org.uk/veteran/tommy-thomas/ and an epitaph, www.mylondon.news/news/west-london-news/hero-harmondswort...

We heard an interesting lecture on Icelandic agriculture here.

The jagged rocks of these falls caught my attention. The water flowed over them in interesting ways. I was eager to get this photo before looking upstream for more and more falls.

An interesting connection point I found whilst experimenting with my Noble Team. It seems the lump on the side of both the Halo Sniper Rifle and the Combat LMG (Brickarms) fits into the hole in the back of the Spartan Armour (Brickforge). This is probably just a coincidence, but both weapons fit strangely well........

I stepped from plank to plank

So slow and cautiously;

The stars about my head I felt,

About my feet the sea.

I knew not but the next

Would be my final inch, --

This gave me that precarious gait

Some call experience.

Tenative identification of the orange fungus Dacrymyces palmatus Orange Jelly fungus

Dacrymycetaceae Witch's Butter

although I think I will keep this as tenative as I do not know the substrate material.

The reason to know the substrate (what type of log this fungus is on) is described in www.ubcbotanicalgarden.org/potd/2005/04/dacrymyces_palm.php

"Tremella mesenterica may also be confused with members of the Dacrymycetaceae family, like Dacrymyces chrysospermus (formerly D. palmatus), due to their superficial resemblance.[12] Microscopic examination shows that the Dacrymycetaceae have Y-shaped basidia with two spores, unlike the longitudinally split basidia characteristic of Tremella;[21] additionally, D. chrysospermus is smaller, has a whitish attachment point to its substrate, and grows on conifer wood." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tremella_mesenterica

The ladies wanted to visit the Pokeman Center - it sounded interesting. To me Pokeman is like a Kardashian - I wouldn't know one if it bit me but I went along. The Pokeman Center was hard to find but we eventually found it. It wasn't a big building (like Center implied); it was actually a store inside a mall (picture a small Disney store). At least it was fun walking around and pretending I was a Pokeman authority even if I'm still clueless!

After that we went in search of a Cosplay store and never found it but we did find a huge adult supply store. The stuff in there was totally bizarre!

I took these photos in Tokyo in April 2019.

As I was taking this shot, an old Dutch guy came up to me and told me that I must be "making an interesting picture".

It's amazing what can happen to the back alley of a convenience store.

Meridian Farmers Market. The farmer who was selling these told me she didn't think her potatoes were very interesting. I disagreed and got some potato shots.

Detail of a mural (2013) by Interesni Kazki, a duo consisting of two Ukrainian artists, AEC (Aleksei Bordusov, b. 1980) and Waone (Vladimir Manzhos, b. 1981). Commissioned by Gallery Underdogs, with support from the Lisbon Municipality.

A nice intermediate step on Natalia Guzowska's "Another Hexagonal Star" which I'm refolding because I wasn't satisfied with the rendition I presented a few days ago.

A lampost near me, one of many similar.

I love the way the layers all show.

I expect some folk will think it should be repainted, but that will be a waste of council tax, as they will all eventually be replaced.

The longer that takes the better, I say!

This old barn with dormer windows no longer stands in Bartholomew County, Indiana.

Interestingness makes no damn sense! It's almost as if these are in reverse order.

I'm going to go build.

This is a very interesting helmet that I really like. You will notice that the visor and bevor have an exaggerated downwards point, similar to the shape of an old fashioned houndskull bascinet visor. Most of the time, on a close helmet or an armet, the bevor will be pitched upwards so the top of it is more or less parallel to the vision slits. This one extends downwards. It is a unique look. I believe this is a Landshut style (southeastern Bavaria) since I've noticed many helmets from Landshut armours appear to feature this sort of beak-like shape. The helmet in the previous photo is similarly styled.
