Este sprint consiste na montagem uma instalação interactiva que poderá ser controlada local e remotamente, através de um sistema mecânico e através de um serviço web. O objectivo deste projecto é aproximar o público em geral da actividade do laboratório, criando um interface com o mundo exterior.
Os sprints são sessões de trabalho intensivas em que os membros dos laboratórios, assim como visitantes e convidados se juntam em equipas para trabalhar em projectos concretos durante um fim-de-semana.

Edited European Southern Observatory image of the interacting galaxies NGC 1531 and 1532. Color/processing variant.
Original caption: The pair of galaxies NGC 1531/2, engaged in a spirited waltz, is located about 70 million light-years away towards the southern constellation Eridanus (The River). The deformed foreground spiral galaxy laced with dust lanes NGC 1532 is so close to its companion — the background galaxy with a bright core just above the centre of NGC 1532 — that it gets distorted: one of its spiral arms is warped and plumes of dust and gas are visible above its disc. The cosmic dance leads to another dramatic effect: a whole new generation of massive stars were born in NGC 1532 because of the interaction. They are visible as the purple objects in the spiral arms. This exquisite image was made using the 1.5-metre Danish telescope at the ESO La Silla Observatory, Chile. It is based on data obtained through three different filters: B, V and R. The field of view is 12 x 12 arcmin.

Original caption: This image from the Wide Field Imager on the MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at the La Silla Observatory in Chile captures the pair of galaxies NGC 3169 (left) and NGC 3166 (right). These adjacent galaxies display some curious features, demonstrating that each member of the duo is close enough to feel the distorting gravitational influence of the other. The gravitational tug of war has warped the spiral shape of one galaxy, NGC 3169, and fragmented the dust lanes in its companion NGC 3166. At the bottom-right of the pair, a third galaxy is portrayed, NGC 3165.

One of 2 interactive TEAL--Technology Enabled Active Learning--classrooms. The 3000 sq ft spaces, which seats 118 students with the faculty in the center, transformed a passive lecture model (of 350 students) into an interactive format. Physics 101 is required of all MIT students. The room includes three PCs at each table (of 8-9 students), whiteboards for each team, some 13 screens (so no sight line problems), 13 cameras (one per team whiteboard), and interactive response clickers for each student.
The lecture has been replaced by a constant series of experiments with students required to solve in groups; groups regularly report back their results to class (verbally, via clickers, via whiteboard or via PC software). The instructor (and TA's) roam the space and the many video cameras allow for instructor to show any team's work to the entire class with ease. CHIBITRONICS CIRCUIT ART + OZOBOTS ROBOTIC PROGRAMMING
One of the STEAM Camp’s key missions is to create innovative ways to play, learn and socially interact in an expanding digital world. Students using Ozobots are learning sequential thinking, logical reasoning and coding concepts. These critical life skills enable students from all walks of life to succeed in the future digital age. Our students learn how to channel their ideas into reality, creating private games, secret codes and their very own robotic equations, putting them at the forefront of learning without even realizing it. When playing digital apps with a physical toy, it bridges the gap between the physical and digital realm - creating a whole new world of educational play. Such activities help us present an innovative way to teach subjects like programming, math and science in classrooms. Kids become engaged and inspired lifelong learners when topics come alive.

About STEAM Camp
STEAM Camp introduces participants to potential careers within Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Mathematics. Campers will learn about educational decisions that will prepare them for these careers. STEAM Camp also focuses on how these careers often require similar, overlapping skills. This is a connected educational approach designed to share a well-rounded experience. Middle school students presented by the Urban League of Greater Madison, Girl Scouts of Badgerland Wisconsin and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Dane County. This will be a constructive and collaborative experience. Campers will discover together how to explore these exciting careers.
Listening Heads, 2006 - Interactive video portraiture.
In the film shoot for Listening Heads, Kentaro directed his friends to act as characters which he thought would represent the nature of his friends. For example one of the friends was instructed to act as a stockbroker in Manhattan. The character was chosen to bring him/her-ness in body language and expression. According the character's nature, a number of scenario was created. For example stockbroker on cocaine is trying to pretend he is straight. Then these facial expressions of various scenarios were captured at a photography studio on HD video.
In the interactive video installation, the software responds to sound through the microphone, and talking to the microphone would trigger these different facial expressions, created from this scenario based portrait shoot, at random.
The facial expression (response) that is triggered by the viewer's voice (word/sentence) would make sense as a response for most of the time. Viewers were left to interpret the facial expressions in ways which suited for whatever they said.
This complete disconnections of two communication scenarios, one at the studio and one at the installation site, brings attention to absurd nature of language and communication, and context in which art works exist.

As a haven away from the madness, Samsung created a intimate blogger lounge in the Austin Convention Center. Whether it was kicking back and charging some electronics or just watching an awesome band play an acoustic set, Samsung had the right idea with their blogger lounge. ABC = Always Be Charging!
