A friend of mine asked me to do a wedding card with woodgrain BG so I decided to make it an interactive card. I wrote Tina and Rok (names of the newlyweds) and the date of the wedding...I wanted to look like when you scratch in the wood...for example on a tree :) On the left there is brown pearl...you have to pull it on the left....and then you see......(check the other picture)....>>>>

Original caption: Some galaxies are closer friends than others. While many live their own separate, solitary lives, others stray a little too close to a near neighbour and take their relationship to the next level. The galaxy in this Picture of the Week, named NGC 6286, has done just that! Just out of frame lies its partner, NGC 6285. Together, the duo is named Arp 293 and they are interacting, their mutual gravitational attraction pulling wisps of gas and streams of dust from them, distorting their shapes, and gently smudging and blurring their appearances on the sky — to Earth-based observers, at least. The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has viewed a number of interacting pairs. These can have distinctive, beautiful, and downright odd shapes, ranging from sheet music to a spaceship entering a sci-fi-esque wormhole, a bouquet of celestial blooms, and a penguin fiercely guarding its precious egg. Arp 293 is located in the constellation of Draco (The Dragon), and lies over 250 million light-years from Earth.
Blending custom software, state of the art digital renderings, and HD projection, Potion’s Star Spangled Banner interactive flag at the National Museum of American History brings a national treasure back into the hands of over a million annual visitors.
Using two HD projections on a touch-sensitive, four million pixel surface inside the most popular exhibit at the most visited museum on the National Mall, Potion worked with C&G Partners to create an interactive that could withstand the battering of a small army while maintaining an intimate experience. Panning slowly over the full flag’s surface, the interactive table shows the flag at a 1:1 scale, revealing minute details nearly invisible to the naked eye. The unparalleled resolution allows visitors to see the individual threads of the Banner, examining its subtle stains and imperfections as they skim their fingers across its surface.
As visitors explore the flag’s surface, they are met with over 100 touch-sensitive hotspots, each containing stories and anecdotes of the flag’s dramatic history. Touching an area opens curators’ notes, engaging historic stories, and restoration facts from the flag’s rich history. The scale of the table, like the flag itself, brings large groups of people together to share in its story.
when you move, add-ons are attached to your silhouette. It made everyone dance. Or at least wave their arms about in a spastic sort of way.

The User can also have preset displays to choose from.
Another one of my pro-active proposals, this one supports the sales force need to demonstrate new product placement in customer stores while out in the field.
Future plans included the expansion of the functionality.
No one was doing this at the time.

I got a degree in interactive arts in Baltimore and then for two years worked in San Francisco in a 3d scanner development company. I am now getting a master degree at the RCA. So I had to leave all my friends behind which was pretty emotionally difficult. In London there are a lot more creative artistic types here than in San Francisco which has been taken over by developers so it’s a very homogenous population now. Was at Goldsmiths last night and Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth was doing this improv with two colleges. One of them was making Miso soup and recording the noises producing it and Thurston was on the guitar like scraping a spoon against it they got such a Varity of sounds out of it was actually incredible and engaging for the full hour.
So I guess im in school because I realized I don’t like it outside of school.
I did this silly think online that searches your facebook for the most used words. Mine were : I , Want, No , Now, Please. so that’s makes a lot of sense.
So just went to lecture by this guy and he founded this space material company and they collaborate with space X and make space Nano and they will come up with a new material and not know what’s its use is for yet. So its like… here’s one that responseds to humidity. It’s great that you don’t have to think about the application yet it just has to come later. That kind of research just allows you to explore territory that you won’t of even considered.
