Either the designers live in Flatland, or they're just having a hard time grappling with the third dimension.

It's amazing how much sense those somehow manage to make. Especially "Generic Action." Like, what?

illutron & GeekPhysical teamed up to bring an intense 3 day workshop to Aalborg University students. Day 1 was with Vanessa and introduced students to rapid prototyping, learning from the industry, design in the real world, design methods and introduction to Arduino. Day 2 and 3 were get-dirty days with Dzl and illutron member Christian Liljedahl as they tore into scrap electronics, toys and other 'junk' to help students identify components and their properties, and create intriguing projects that were displayed for family, friends, and the public in an exhibition the next day.

I folded up a sheet of paper to absorb the extra ink from the Prisma markers, which leak through even the thickest Moleskine paper I can find.

My notes and thumbnail drawings for a subtle CSS3 animation for the home page, based on the bokeh effect in the opening credits of The Time Traveler's Wife.

Evidence Dolls, 2005

Dunne & Raby

Evidence Dolls consists of one hundred plastic dolls used to provoke discussion amongst a group of young single women about the impact of genetic technology on their lifestyle. How will dating change when DNA analysis can reveal the presence of undesirable genes?

Evidence Dolls come in three versions based on penis size (small, medium and large). A black indelible marker is provided to note down any characteristics on the dolls body. Hair, toenail clippings, saliva, and sperm can be stored in

the penis drawer.

... cuz, y'know: most design organizations usually hold lectures on pr0n film sets.

Sketch-a-move is a concept for a toy car that allows you to explore the unique relationships between small surface doodles and actual physical movements. If you draw a circle on the top of the toy car, it will move in a circle. If you draw a complicated spiral, the car will move in a spiral.

This video is a low-tech experience prototype made to communicate the idea. In collaboration with Louise Klinker.
