This is part of the ornate Roman pool of the Hearst Castle in California. It's a tiled indoor pool decorated with several marble statues of gods and goddesses and heroes styled after an ancient Roman bath. It is decorated from ceiling to floor with one inch square mosaic tiles. These glass tiles, called smalti, are either colored (mainly blue or orange) or are clear with fused gold inside.

A view inside the beautiful teak sala of Wat Yai Suwannaram. Built in Ayutthaya during the 17th century it was later moved to Phetchaburi by boat.
Wikipedia: Teak (Tectona grandis) is a tropical hardwood tree species in the family Lamiaceae. It is a large, deciduous tree that occurs in mixed hardwood forests. Tectona grandis has small, fragrant white flowers arranged in dense clusters (panicles) at the end of the branches. These flowers contain both types of reproductive organs (perfect flowers). The large, papery leaves of teak trees are often hairy on the lower surface. Teak wood has a leather-like smell when it is freshly milled and is particularly valued for its durability and water resistance. The wood is used for boat building, exterior construction, veneer, furniture, carving, turnings, and other small wood projects
A first "Gulrot kake", or carrot cake, I've ever made...followed a nice Norvegian recipe which in a pure stroke of serendipity I came upon, and here it is! A loveliest soothing result ... guaranteed served with a coffee or liqueur, or even better with your loved one's hug...:)
