A super wide view of Nymphenburg Palace as seen from the east with some impressive clouds above.

Schloss Nymphenburg is a palace located in the west of Munich and one of the main tourist attractions of the city, with yearly over 300,000 visitors,

The palace is the main summer residence of the House of Wittelsbach, former rulers of Bavaria.

This is a lovely Wedding Anniversary Gift I got more than two months ago. One of the buds finally bloomed more than a week ago. I just couldn't resist capturing this special moment.

Ps: this is SOOC. The new bloom looked greenish for the first few days before turning white.

The Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium (沈阳奥林匹克体育中心) opened in 2007 and was originally built as a multipurpose stadium to replace the older Wulihe Stadium (五里河体育场) which was demolished in 2007 and replaced by - a shopping mall (well, what else in modern China... 😋).

The stadium was finally named "Olympic Sports Center Stadium" after it hosted a couple football matches during the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Detail of the virgin Mary statue behind the high altar. A special design feature is the window behind the Madonna's head, the window acts as a halo, an effect emphasized by the golden rays emanating from the window.

St. Maria (St. Mary) is a Wallfahrtskirche (pilgrimage church) located in Thalkirchen, in the south of Munich. The church was built in Gothic style around 1390, replacing a Romanesque predecessor. The steeple still has some late Romanesque features. In 1693-1698 the church was converted to Baroque style, the appearance of the Madonna with the windew behind is a Rococo work by Ignaz Günther dating to 1759-1769.

I remember deciding to try this on on the spur of the moment one night, as it had hung in my wardrobe for months with the tags still on. I didn't really think much of it at the time...

Photo taken through the window, on a coffee shop :)

Theme: Portrait

This is my wife and baby girl. This shot was taken at the maternity ward, Gleneagles Hospital, 2 days after delivery. We were supposed to be discharged in a few hours, and we were just sitting around waiting for the discharge papers to come. The daylight was streaming into the room through the orange curtains, giving the room a soft glow, even though it was midday and the sunlight outdoors was most likely quite harsh. I liked the lighting, set up the chairs in the room against the windows, got wifey to pose and position Arin (that's me daughter's name:), and I had a shot within 5 minutes, from concept to realization.

I submitted this for the Great Eastern "Life is Great" Photo Competition and got a consolation prize out of 2000+ entries! :-)
