A full view of the interior, towards the ceiling with its frescoes.

This is the oldest documented church in downtown Munich, first mentioned in a document dated around 1225/26. It was expanded several times, went from Romanesque style through late Gothic style to its final appearance in late Baroque style.

The church was nearly completely destroyed during the allied bombing raid of February 25th 1945, reconstruction after World War II was only completed in 2000 with the final reconstruction of the ceiling frescoes.

While folding another of my new pattern of my Block-tessellation serie I used thicker paper and because of that and the density of the pattern this bowl-shape arose ;-)

On the left you see the pattern from the outside and on the right the inside.

Here you can see a different view of my origami tessellation "Bricks".

I found (independently) a variation of the "Wall" of Momotani and I'm probably not the first one, correct me please when I'm wrong.

Folded from 21x21cm greenish Japanese paper, with some golden en silver dots in it.

In this age of consumerism we are not longer in control of our own preferences. The driver's seat belongs to mass marketing and media campaigns that specializes in creating a necessity when there is none. All this while we just sit tight waiting to be told what should be considered good or bad, cool or uncool.

Inside Kalmar slott.

Kalmar castle was originally a medieval fortification, built by Magnus Ladulås at the end of the 13th century. It was here the Kalmar Union was formed in 1397. But today's castle took its form during the Renaissance, when it was improved in the 16th century by king Gustav Vasa (Gustav I) and his sons Erik XIV and Johan III and this is today one of the most well preserved Renaissance castles in Sweden (it was restored in the 19th century by Fredrik Wilhelm Scholander and Helgo Zettervall).

Pié Jesu

Blessed Jesus

(Requiem Gabriel Fauré)

When evening fell, a wealthy man from Arimathaea, Joseph by name, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus, approached Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave orders that he should have it. Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen sheet, and laid it in his own unused tomb, which he had cut out of the rock. He then rolled a large stone against the entrance, and went away....

Matthew 27: 57-60

My own interpretation: I liked the way a crescent shadow fell over ‘Blessed Jesus’, when I photographed this, as if to suggest some kind of eclipse of the ‘Son’ – but there is an expectant glimmer of light appearing from behind, at the ‘end of Jesu’....

I was amazed to see my image appear in Explore (somewhere here in April 15):

Cake

1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® white cake mix

Water, vegetable oil and egg whites called for on cake mix box

1 pint (2 cups) mango sorbet, softened

1 pint (2 cups) strawberry sorbet, softened

Frosting

1 1/2 cups whipping cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon grated lime peel

2 tablespoons lime juice

Garnish, if desired

Lime peel twists

Fresh strawberries

1. Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Spray bottom only of 15x10x1-inch pan with baking spray with flour. Line with waxed paper; spray waxed paper.

2. In large bowl, make cake mix as directed on box, using water, oil and egg whites. Pour into pan. Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan to cooling rack; remove waxed paper. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

3. Cut cake crosswise into 3 equal sections. On long serving platter, place 1 section, rounded side down. Spread mango sorbet evenly over top. Place another cake section onto the sorbet; press down. Spread with strawberry sorbet. Top with remaining cake section; press down. Cover lightly; freeze about 2 hours or until firm.

4. In large bowl, beat frosting ingredients with electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form. Frost sides and top of torte. Freeze about 1 hour or until firm. Just before serving, garnish top with lime peel and strawberries. To serve, let stand at room temperature 10 minutes. Cut torte in half lengthwise, then cut crosswise 7 times to make a total of 16 slices.

High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Make cake batter following High Altitude directions on box. Bake 20 to 30 minutes.

Two trams again - this is a similar traffic situation as in the previous upload, just a different point of view.

The background tram is coming out of the Arnulfstraße, entering the Bahnhofsplatz square; while the foreground tram comes out of Prielmayerstraße from the Stachus square, entering the Dachauer Straße.
