A group of tourists milling around the Inner shrine in the grounds of the Phuoc Kien Assembly Hall. Notes about the shrine appear in previous captions. As I said in earlier captions, with the large number of assembly halls and their shrines on this street in the Hoi An old quarter, and with the overall rush, it is quite possible that I might have mixed up the shrine with the temple exterior, or misidentified the respective assembly hall. In this case, rather than flame me, please do point out the error and point me in the right direction! (Hoi An, Central Vietnam, Nov. 2016)

There are two parts of the temple; the outer temple where the beginning initiates are allowed to come, and the inner temple where one can enter only after proven worthy and ready to acquire the higher knowledge and insights.

One of the concepts that the Egyptians held was that man was the microcosm of the universe – the macrocosm. This is the reason for the saying: "know thyself." Their spiritual aspect of this concept held that within man (which they symbolized as a five-pointed star) is the divine essence of the Creator and the Heavens. And this finds expression in their teaching: "The kingdom of heaven is within you; and whosoever shall know himself shall find it."

A self portrait demonstrating the powers of inner strength (naked).

An areal of the New Inner harbour of Copenhagen. Until about 10 years ago, most of this area was either industrial area or laying out as abandoned because the factories shot down. A big effort from Town government trying to get a uniform area, and some serious thoughts from architects have made the area into a buzzing vibrant integrated area in Copenhagen

Inner dance, eternal movement that can never be crushed.

Never have fit in with the ones I am with

Afraid of were I truly belong

All alone in my solace I can be found

Dancing to a song all my own

Beautiful morning at my home town of Avoca Beach.

Inner City Press was founded in 1987 to provide advice and assistance to those looking to move into and fix up abandoned buildings in the Bronx and Harlem, of which there were many at the time. Sadly, the annals of urban squatting are filled with tales of heartbreak (along with the occasional triumph), wherein people on the bottom rung of society work tirelessly to clean up and rehabilitate a rotting building, only to later be thrown out by the authorities.

Inner arms and my chest kind of! It says "forever bitter sweet" with some weird green queen lady. The kids really got a kick out of her.

I spent some time with crayons and the idea of "Inner Critic." I liked it, but it was too big to put on the scanner. So I re-created it on Word, and here it is.

Creating this was a remarkably healing experience.

An orchestra of blind and partially sighted people playing music from across the world in Leeds Trinity Church. For SAA-uk.

Not many photo opportunities this afternoon due to poor light and no time. This is probably the best of the bunch. The inside of a Tree Dahlia flower. Looks like a huge chunk of spaghetti in the middle

About Basavakalyan Fort

Basavakalyana fort, earlier known as Kalyana fort, is located in Bidar district in the Indian state of Karnataka. Its historic importance is dated to the 10th century. The capital of Chalukyas was also shifted from Manyakheta to Kalyana in the 10th century. The fort, integral to the Basavakalyana town, is also famous as Karmabhoomi of Basavanna (founder of Virashaiva community) and hundreds of other Sharanas (saints of Virashaiva community).

Basavakalyana (known in the history as Kalyana) with its fort was the centre of a great social and religious movement, in the 12th century, because of Basaveshwara, the social reformer. It became a seat of learning. Basaveshwara, Akka Mahadevi, Channabasavanna, Siddarama and many more Sharanas are associated with Basavakalyana. Basaveshwara, in particular, fought against casteism and orthodoxy in Hinduism

The Inner Harbour is the "Hub" of activity in Victoria. The harbour is centrally located in the City of Victoria providing easy access to many of the most popular activities, sightseeing attractions and downtown Victoria shops and stores.

The horseshoe shaped Inner Harbour is anchored around a marina and surrounded by a cement tiered promenade walkway. The marina is home to large yachts, motorboats and sailboats... and is also a meeting point for activity companies including kayak, whale watching and ferry sightseeing tours.

The cement promenade walkway circles the harbour and consists of two levels. The lower level promenade is a pedestrian walkway developed with gardens, cement barriers, grass lawns, outdoor patio restaurants and sitting benches.

The upper promenade is at street level. From the upper levels of the Inner Harbour one can access the unique shops and stores of Government Street, the grounds of the historic Empress Hotel, the Provincial Legislative Buildings, the British Columbia Provincial Royal Museum, the Undersea Gardens and Beacon Hill Park.

During the days of summer the Inner Harbour is always busy with people sightseeing, relaxing, shopping, taking pictures, having lunch and touring. All the while there are always numerous street musicians entertaining and vendors selling their goods.
