Old Town (Czech: Staré Město) is the original place of settlement of Prague, Czech Republic. It was separated from the outside by a semi-circular moat and wall, connected to the Vltava at both of its ends. The moat is now covered up by the streets (from north to south-west) Revolučni, na Příkopě, and Národni—which remain the official boundary of the cadastral district of Old Town. It is now in Praha 1.
After the city was expanded in the 14th century by Charles IV with the founding of the New Town, the moat and wall were therefore dismantled soon after.
Notable places in the Old Town include the Old New Synagogue, Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock. Across the river Vltava is the Lesser Quarter, called Malá Strana in Czech. These two parts of the town are connected by Charles Bridge. Josefov is located in the northwest corner of Old Town heading towards the Vltava.

Many Chinese temples, while beautiful, can be a bit "Elvis/Las Vegas" in style, this temple
had a really sober and elegant style.
Teochew have a reputation for being excellent at business within South-East Asia. This temple looks very wealthy.

This place is amazing! An entire derelict/abandoned housing estate in London. There must be 2000+ apartments all empty.
I am determined to get back there sometime for another look around and get some more photos.

Suissemobile pretends there is a new alpine hiking path that goes through Inners Tal and does a loop.
Inners Tal is a side valley of Lötschental that's devoid of any human beings (except sheep IoI) and any human constructions (with the exception of one small hydroelectric power station, that was heavily opposed 10 years ago but ended up being constructed).
I obviously had to check out that dubious trail yesterday.
Well, turns out it's just the old vague sheep trail, there are no marks, no signs, nothing.
And crossing the torrent to make the full round hike was impossible with the water levels I encountered so I had to turn back on the same left side.

Some meditate and others play with their smartphone.. it's not easy to find inner peace in a crowded city.
Inner Farne, Northumbria
Inner Farne one rain streaked morning from the beach that runs from Seahouses to Bamburgh;beyond the dunes. St Cuthbert took refuge here, in the seventh century, to escape his growing fame and regain a little solitude. I’ve watched seas break over the castle turret; a wild place. a place to be alone with your thoughts
