This place is amazing! An entire derelict/abandoned housing estate in London. There must be 2000+ apartments all empty.
I am determined to get back there sometime for another look around and get some more photos.

The 25th anniversary of the Inner Wheel Club of Arbroath receiving its charter was celebrated in March, 2000, with a lunch at Letham Grange Hotel.

The pieced medallion for my Jinny Beyer one-fabric quilt. The medallion of the quilt is based on Jinny Beyer's Mayflowers pattern,
When I looked at this flower in preparation to shoot it, I thought, "This thing is gorgeous!".
So I took what I thought was the best shot I could take, and in Post, I realized it was beautiful, but not so much for the reason I chose to shoot it at first. Not the whole shot, but for the center of the flower, as if it were protected beauty, expanding. That's sort of the reason I cropped it the way I did; to accent the greater beauty on the inside, just trying to be revealed.
That's what so cool about photography to me. As art, it has a way to speak to each person who views it. They bring themselves to the piece and take from it only what they see through their experiences and eyes, which ends up being different for each individual.

Inner City Press was founded in 1987 to provide advice and assistance to those looking to move into and fix up abandoned buildings in the Bronx and Harlem, of which there were many at the time. Sadly, the annals of urban squatting are filled with tales of heartbreak (along with the occasional triumph), wherein people on the bottom rung of society work tirelessly to clean up and rehabilitate a rotting building, only to later be thrown out by the authorities.
Inner beauty, too, needs occasionally to be told it is beautiful.
