Every year the Enviroment agency uses an expensive remote controlled crawler mowing machine to cut all the vegitation on both sides of the Norfolk sea banks. Great habitat of insects & a multitude of Butterflies is lost when we are being advised to let our lawns grow. I can never understand this.

Earlier in December we received a small amount of snow, sticky enough for someone to fashion a tall, definitely creepy-looking white creature looking down at me through the barren brush from the top of an Inner Harbour mount. Within a couple of days, the white figure succumbed to the warmer weather and disappeared completely, although I fear its constituting matter will return as the winter is progressing. Such disappearing act is not an option for several feathered and furred wildlife residents populating the Harbour’s Woodland year-round and about to brave another winter with uncertain severity, including the American Goldfinch, American Red Squirrel, Pileated woodpecker, American Red Squirrel, Northern Cardinal, Golden-crowned Kinglet and Goldfinch.

The walkway in front of the historic Freight House at the Inner Harbor. Inner Harbor is located in the former Barge Canal terminal and maintenance facility in Syracuse,NY. A walk along the canal between Droylsden on my way to Manchesters Piccadilly train startion .
Infrared photo's are taken with a converted Sony NEX C3 , and colour shot's with a Sony NEX 7 .
First time I've seen fish in the canal for over thirty years as well !
This time not Sticklebacks , but Chub or Bream , seemed to shallow bodied to be Carp .
They were about a foot long on scholes of about 10-12 . At about three seperate areas along the canal , all near the centre of Manchester .
A few years ago I also spotted a Kingfisher in the city part of the canal , and frequently see one around Audenshaw .

We took advantage of a beautiful spring day a few weeks ago to go for a walk around Colonial Williamsburg. This tulip was in the west side of the large flower garden behind the Governor's Palace.

for my inner beauty project, I decided I would do portray "Inner beauty" in the literal sense. This year I have been doing mainly dark/gory art pieces, and this goes along with them. However, I also chose to do it in such a style because the human body itself is absolutely beautiful. It holds so much power in every individual and yet people constantly try to change it or modify its beauty. Which is a shame because the human body really is beautiful. It has its own unique inner beauty that amazes me. I chose to do it in more of a cartoon/non-realistic style to make it less about the gore aspect and more just about the parts of the body.

i tried to edit it to look something like the cover of a 60's sci-fi novel. i hope that's apparent. it was hard to get anything even remotely clear with the lack of available light and tripod.

Robert Lacey traces the story of this bizarre figure from his vigorous youth to gross and immobile old age. We see Henry as the absolute ruler who raised the English monarchy to a pinnacle of arbitrary power, which it never achieved again, as the center of a court of immense brilliance and talent, and as a man who, despite his cruelty and unpredictability could inspire men with loyalty and devotion to the end.
