Johannesburg Inner City is supposedly a dangerous place. I am not sure why, but I did conform with the directions of my black driver who took me around the place and kept the car windows closed. We didn't stop at all and all pictures taken within the Inner City limits were taken through the closed window of a car on the move.
I must say, though, I didn't see anything dangerous outside. I saw ruins of buildings and even some ruins of people, I saw poor people going here and there, but I did not feel threatened... It was a Sunday morning, lots of people were on the streets and on the sidewalks, but I saw no strange transaction, no drugs changing hands, no weapons flashed.
I may be wrong but I saw nothing that might have put my life at risk, if at some point I chose to get out of the car and take a walk around this place, as I so very much wanted to do!

Last night's moon was just 2 days shy of full, but the clouds gave the moonlight a magical character. I shot 3 photos, including one panorama, but I liked this one best for the circular dance that they do around the moon, in both sea and sky.
This was shot in Victoria's Inner Harbour, next to the Johnson Street bridge.
As with all long exposure night shots, I needed to adjust exposure and colour in Lightroom 4 to manage overblown highlights and super saturation in the city lights. Both have been reduced in this photograph.
Shot on my Nikon D600 and Nikkor 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens at 28mm, exposed for 13 seconds at f/16, ISO 400.

Camels seen roaming near the highway. We were very excited when we first saw them. Later, we were to see more of them.
This is Wikipedia's description of Baltimore's Inner Harbor:
The Inner Harbor is a historic seaport, tourist attraction, and iconic landmark of the City of Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The harbor itself is actually the end of the Northwest Branch of the Patapsco River and includes any water west of a line drawn between the National Aquarium in Baltimore and the Rusty Scupper restaurant. The term "Inner Harbor" is used not just for the water but for the surrounding area of the city, with approximate street boundaries of President Street to the east, Lombard Street to the north, Greene Street to the west, and both Camden Street and Conway Street to the south. The harbor is within walking distance of Oriole Park at Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium and has a water taxi that connects the Inner Harbor to Fells Point, Canton, and Fort McHenry.

New Inner West Busway along Victoria Road
Monday 31st January 2011 saw the official opening of the new Inner West Busway, a project that has been running on time and to budget despite its technical complexity set among one of Sydney’s busiest urban arterials, Victoria Road.
The project involves one of the busiest sections of Victoria Road from the Gladesville Bridge in the West to the Anzac bridge in the East. The core objective was to implement a new 3 kilometre city-bound bus lane -requiring a new, 400 metre bridge over the Iron Cove, 3 kilometres of roadworks and an Australia-first tidal flow system.

Well, my friend Evan Gearing photographed this recently, so having nothing better to do today, I headed for the Capitol to try it myself. This is an art exhibit (of some sort) on the ground floor of the Capitol building. It's an interesting location, not as visited as most locations in the building.
