The wooden footbridge across Killick Creek at Crescent Head was partially washed away in storms a week earlier.
Hardanger Bridge is a bridge between Ullensvang and Ulvik in Hordaland, Norway, across the Hardangerfjord. It replaced a ferry connection between Bruravik and Brimnes, and shortens the driving time between Oslo and Bergen. It is the longest suspension bridge in Norway.
The bridge is 1,380 metres (4,530 ft) long, with a main span of 1,310 metres (4,300 ft). Sailing height is 55 metres (180 ft) and the towers reach 200 metres (660 ft) above sea level. There are two driving lanes for cars with an 80 km/h speed limit, and a separate lane for pedestrians and cyclists.
At Valley City, ND the 3800 foot long High Line Trestle carries the BNSF Jamestown Sub over the Sheyenne River.
Organized chaos. From above, the tangled mess of an L.A. freeway system. Like circuits on a keyboard. Some one, some where, made sense of all of this. They do a great job of keeping travelers unaware of the neighborhoods they pass through. The density of Los Angeles is mind boggling. An aerial view puts thing into perspective. It's a never ending single file line.
The South tower of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge reaches 746 feet into the cloudless sky of the Bay Area.
