De gasketelwagentrein uit het Tsjechische Kralupy rijdt na een periode van afwezigheid de laatste tijd weer wat vaker. Op de erg nevelige 26 mei 2016 was het de 186426 die trein 42304 met bijna 24 uur vertraging naar Sittard mocht brengen. Met vrolijk zwaaiende bijrijder passeert de trein hier de Rijnbrug bij Arnhem.
Like Jonathan said, it's gritty! Chicago at its best, although I'm sure the Chamber of Commerce folks would argue. Once the Chicago & Western Indiana and the Norfolk & Western (ex-NKP) paralleled each other from Stateline Tower all the way to 95th Street, they parted ways at "Pullman Junction", where both crossed the Rock Island's "South Chicago" branch at the west end of its yard there. The former NKP continued straight towards LaSalle Street Station, while the C&WI crossed and paralleled the Rock for a ways west. An Erie Lackawanna westbound freight, exercising trackage rights on C&WI, passes "Pullman Junction" behind a C424, GP35, F7b (2415-2560-7063.) This junction was such a complex of multiple diamonds, switches, and crossovers that all trains had to stop before crossing, and there was a bizarre set of gates to keep the understanding a little more clear as to who goes first. The operator, or possibly ringmaster, of this whole spaghetti-like affair took shelter in that humble building on the left.

Flint Creek empty KCS Train C-FLKC-07 is coming up KCT Track 74 at Penn Avenue as UP Train ITAME3 04 heads east on Track 75. The KCS train will become UP Train CFKNA 08 here at KC after the Union Pacific crew hops on in a few minutes.
