A great place to watch the sunset is at the San Diego, California, waterfront. The sunset this evening silhouetted the tall ship at the maritime museum there very nicely!

A shot of Brookdale Avenue in Cornwall. Once the bridge comes down after the opening of the new low level bridge, this shot's POV will look much different. I normally shoot with Hipstamatic but decided to use the native iPhone camera app for this one and then edited with Snapseed.

The down platform looking west. Truro was the final station on the Cornwall Railway, which was broad gauge only and ran from Truro to Plymouth; west of here the railway was built by the older, standard gauge West Cornwall Railway. The West Cornwall Railway was rebuilt in mixed gauge after it was connected to the rest of the railway network; the Cornwall Railway famously remained broad gauge only until the end of the broad gauge in May 1892.

The platforms in the picture are 2 and 3 - platform 1 is the Falmouth bay, past the footbridge.

The Station

This train station was built back in the middle of 60s when new express train from Tokyo to Osaka started operating.

I took these images in last May near Shin-Osaka train station with Minolta TC-1 and Fuji Acros. I developed the film with D76.

I have stayed away from HDR as much as possible but felt this shot really called for it. The small puddle of water beneath the pier along with the starburst of the sun really added to the depth and also brought out some much needed texture to the pier.
